"If you want to be a successful singer then you need to have a good demo and a good voice. Your voice can be in any style as long as it sounds good. It has to be your style. All professional singers have their own unique style of singing. You can always tell who is singing a song and say, that's Celine Dion, that's Beyonce, that's Justin Timberlake. If you love to sing and want to sing professionally then you'll always be looking for new songs to sing. You'll find cover songs you want to sing and if you like songwriting you'll start to write your own songs as well. You may be able to play an instrument like the piano or guitar or look for musicians and music producers to help you write. And you might want to find original songs from up and coming songwriters, which you can use as your demos or to try and get a record deal with."

Nikki Forova is a Pop singer/songwriter that compares to the likes of Vanessa Carlton, Tori Amos, and Michelle Branch. In October of 2010, Nikki entered and won the MTV Duets contest out of thousands of entries.
