Gary P. Gilroy Music is a website to listen to and purchase music for band programs. Here you can purchase marching band shows with music and choreography as well as concert band , indoor percussion and drumline music. He also offers custom marching show design and unique compositions.

Classics for Kids is a website featuring high quality weekly radio shows/podcasts about classical composers and their music. The service is provided by Cincinnati Public Radio. Excellent biographical information along with quality excerpts of composers' works are included. There is an extensive catalog of previous shows available for listening which are child friendly and is a great resource for music educators. The website also includes games and a section under the "For Grownups" tab for educators featuring music lesson plans.

Great resource for music history. With a new audio show being posted every week and past shows being available, there is a lot available and will continue to be available. Has short audio to keep children's attention and has an accompanying worksheet to help facilitate optimal listening and understanding.

This is a PDF file for clarinet fingerings. Along with showing the basic fingerings that are generally taught in beginning band, this PDF chart also shows the alternate fingerings that make clarinet playing more practical. This chart is particularly useful for teachers who may have a hard time remembering all of the alternate fingerings that would be useful for certain passages.

These bands include the active bands, Army Reserve Bands, National Guard bands, and the U.S. Army School of Music Band. Each band will also have smaller ensembles such as jazz bands and rock bands. The site also has recordings of the Army band performing some traditional ceremonial songs including marches, fanfares, and even bugle calls that are found on the music tab. This is very beneficial if you are are trying to perform a patriotic show or performing for the school's JROTC programs. There are pages for the National Anthem and The Army Song that provides the history of the songs as well as the lyrics and recordings. You can click on the songs titles to download mp3 files. The education tab is great because it has a list of U.S. Army Music Master Classes for every instrument and covers a wide range of topics. From basics and fundamentals to practicing to percussion. Master classes are added periodically. When you click on the title of the master class, a PDF will download. You can also request for a clinicians, clinic teams, master classes, or guest conductors to come out to your school. The only expense you might have to pay is for travel expenses if they are not in the area.

TED talks is such a great resource for a variety of ways. You can find streams of different talks relating to specific subjects. You search what you are interested in will get several search results. This can be used for personal professional development or to show in the classroom.

Easily edited to incorporate music, this is a slap vocabulary game to reinforce reading and vocabulary skills. I could use musical terms that we are studying or instruments. I could even show a picture of the instrument and the students have to find the words. I'm excited to try this.

Great website that shows how to playback/record songs on iOS  GarageBand. There are videos that demonstrate how to make the songs that are listed in varying degrees of difficulty (from easy, intermediate to difficult). This is a good resource for students to learn how to create songs on iOS GarageBand. 

This is an itunes preview of Vic Firth Marching Percussion Video Podcasts. Each of these videos are free to view in itunes and many are from drum corps and other percussion professionals. These videos have interviews, lessons and performances. This is a great resource for percussion students for inspiration as well as showing them about DCI.

This is a extended video (almost 90 minutes) by the U.S. Army Field band flute section. It describes many techniques from beginner on up. There is good camera work to show close ups of embouchure formation. They also appear to be active when replying to comments, allowing users to ask questions and expand on the topics in the video.
