Home of Apple's digital audio workstation: Logic Pro X. (also known as GarageBand's older sibling). The site has numerous videos, reviews, links, and demos of the software. The digital audio workstation has become a mainstay for music production because of both the software's accessible, yet ultra-powerful interface, which can be used by both novices, all the way to studio professionals.

This software is a big production, and is something that i use a lot personally. This software will give you the ability to do anything you may need to do. The purpose of this resource would be to show more advanced student more features on how to create, record, mix, and master. This is a more in depth software for more professional users. This would be a software that i would use to implement with more advanced students, who have used other software's.

This is a website owned by a married couple who teach and own their own music studio. There site contains blogs and everyday they share ideas from teachers around the world as well as give suggestions for current teachers. Their site includes printables which can be used for teaching. They also have an online store with the products they have written for teachers.

Drum corp is something that many high school students dream of becoming a part of.  Many students in marching bands around the world dream to become a DCI champion.  Vic Firth teamed up with the Cadets and have made videos with the music from their 2015 production, "The Power of 10" featuring the selection "Waltz".  Students can play along whether they are in the front ensemble, snare line, bass line, or tenor line.

This website is an experiment in sound production. The different sounds are made to look like organisms swimming around. The composer creates music with their ear, not notation.

One of most common ways of recognizing intervals is by associating them with songs that are familiar. This website provides an excellent list of reference songs for every interval. They also include recordings of each reference song. Each excerpt illustrates the interval it is associated with. Earmaster also includes various ear training exercises for musicians at all levels. The training exercises are free to try, but do eventually cost in order to use. 

This website contains a free download of a very basic version of the Notation software, Finale.

MusicTheory.net is a great website to teach theory to students. It has lessons on a variety of topics, interactive exercises to support the theory topics, and tools that could be used in conjunction with other activities in the classroom. There are also apps available for devices. The best part is that the exercises can be customized (scroll down to the bottom of the exercise or tools pages) with a permanent link so that students can take quizzes or have additional practice for specifics without having to change the settings for themselves. For example, note identification can be customized to the clef and range of a specific instrument and sent to those students for practice or quizzes.

This YouTube playlists features high quality videos discussing the fundamentals of each instrument, including tone production, articulation and other advanced techniques with demonstrations by professional musicians.

Resource for band directors 

Banddirector.com offers a multitude of resources for instrumental educators. Band directors can contribute articles on various topics including fund raising, trips, and marching drill. The forums on this website allow educators to share best practices across multiple settings. This website would be most useful for instrumental educators. 

This website is a fantastic resource for band directors. Their are resources for marching, travel, fundraising, conducting, and product comparisons just to name a few. This site has just about anything a band director will ever need.

A great website for step-by-step theory instruction, exercises, and quizzes. This website would be great to offering out-of-class instruction or assistance to students who may need extra help. The instruction is organized by concepts (ex. key signatures, chords, etc) and gives helpful tips and tricks to understand the concept being taught.

This is a great website for all jazz piano players. This is for the beginning jazz pianist or the experienced. It takes the reader/ student through a series of lessons that are chronological in nature. There are links to blogs and products that can help any level of piano player. The videos explaining jazz concepts are well laid out and very educational.

This website offers jazz tutorial videos for jazz pianists. It offers a beginners course where it outlines the basics and slowly increases the difficulty level. Coaching videos are available on a variety of skills and topics

This website is a great resource for learning to play jazz piano. It offers coaching and beginner courses. The site also provides professional development and support for educators.
