When it comes to learning, many educators know banning is the easy way out, but there are a number of reasons behind why students are not paying attention. Rather than taking away student rights and the freedom to use the tools they want, we must address the root of the issue that is causing the problem. My advice comes from someone who teaches adults and students in a "no ban zone." These ideas work for me and they will work for you

This site was created by a grant from the REMC Association of Michigan for the creation of an educational resource for educational technology for students. Members of the REMC Instructional Technology Specialists in Michigan along with teachers from the state, have created this site to provide project-based activities which are aligned to the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S), and the Michigan Educational Technology Standards for students (METS) as well as the Framework for 21st Century Learning identified by the Partnership For 21st Century Skills.

Blogs are becoming more and more commonplace for educational use as alternatives to Learning Management Systems (LMS) or for the use of teaching aides in the classroom. With Class Blogs, teachers can create unlimited free blogs for bibliographies, assignments, e-learning, learninglogs, or student blogs for their students. So what is a teacher's role in keeping students safe online? Teachers and schools can actively block websites on desktops, laptops, and iPads but when it comes to a student's personal phone… that's a tricky area.

Very cool web-app for support the teaching of dialogue. Simple interface that allows one to create a 3d movie. Also can select different languages and the app will translate it. Example, if student writes a conversation in Spanish the app will translate.
