Latest update 11th March 2011 - These are some of the best free internet resources for education. This page is constantly updated; every time I come across a new piece of software or an exciting website, I list it here. You might also want to take a look at my Diigo or Delicious accounts for more links. This list is not exhaustive in any way. In fact, if you think there is a tool or application for use in education that should be added to this list, please don't hesitate to get in touch and suggest it!

LessonCast seeks to replicate that mentoring relationship: experienced teachers sharing their knowledge with other teachers looking for new ideas. The LessonCast format is similar to storytelling - peering over the shoulder of creative, expert teachers. The LessonCast community showcases educators' expertise and spreads classroom-cultivated, teacher-tested ideas that work.

Evaluating web pages skillfully requires you to do two things at once: Train your eye and your fingers to employ a series of techniques that help you quickly find what you need to know about web pages; Train your mind to think critically, even suspiciously, by asking a series of questions that will help you decide how much a web page is to be trusted. This page is organized to combine the two techniques into a process that begins with looking at your search results from a search engine or other source, follows through by investigating the content of page, and extends beyond the page to what others may say about the page or its author(s).

I haven't seen this yet, but I thought it sounded like a good thing to look at later!
