Misfit Wearables launches a sleep tracking device and software that syncs with Misfit Shine in order to remove the discomfort and inaccuracy of wearables from the sleep experience.
epperHealth will also detect a rapidly rising heart rate, check in on how you're feeling, follow up on your sleeping habits and remind you to take your meds - the robot will even call up an Uber for those unable to use a smartphone.
It works by detecting abnormal vitals through the Watch such as a rapid heart rate or a fall and then Pepper "wakes up" and comes over to check out what's going on. Should something serious happen, Pepper will alert a built-in emergency system and give medics the elder's location to get them immediate assistance.
"By early 2013, the buzz surrounding wearable technology caught the attention of The Coca-Cola Company's Strategic Marketing Ventures team, which invests in high-potential startups aligned with Coke's core business, including digital music streaming service Spotify, social fitness community Endomondo and music licensing firm Music Dealers. Fitness bands and other activity monitors motivate people to be more active -- a key priority for Coke -- by letting users set personal goals and track everything from steps taken, to calories burned, to sleep."
Misfit continues to impress with its decided integration into realms other than fitness tracking while using health as the common denominator to tie its offshoot products together.
