I am just busy catching up on some old bookmarking of ML research articles

he second event aims to finish the current draft of the Gr 10 ML textbook, in collaboration with interested educators and post-grad students. This Grade 10 Maths Lit textbook will be available for use in 2013 and beyond, and have its own website, be available via cellphone, on Mxit, as a PDF and in print. We are in serious negotiations with DBE to have it printed for all government schools next year.

This is more a maths than a Ml resource but...."This is an excellent place to go if you want to understand how to complete problems in basic math, trigonometry, calculus, or algebra. Mr. McKeague is a mathematician who offers clear examples on math problems through a video. He is joined by various students who also give eamples to math problems. The videos found here have super quality and would definitely help to instruct or teach difficult math explanations. This site is free, and they offer a free subscription if you plan to use the site often. When you join, you can create playlists because a login has been created for your usage." What is your view on the argument in the attached paper that the ML assessment taxonomy does not adequately provide for reasoning and problem solving?

The NCETM site features articles covering a range of topics raising awareness of research items and professional development opportunities as well as activities and resources to use with learners. Signposting includes: items from NRICH - embedding rich mathematics tasks into everyday practice; Skills for Life UPDATE magazine - raising awareness of content with a numeracy focus; the Get On Campaign - giving news of the latest campaign features on darts and football with links to campaign resources for use by numeracy practitioners; and the 'Quicklinks' which lead to more support for numeracy teachers.
