The Open Library is a collection of more than one million free ebook titles. The collection is cataloged by a community of volunteer online librarians. The ebooks in the Open Library can be read online, downloaded to your computer, read on Kindle and other ereader devices, and embedded into other sites. Some of the ebooks, like Treasure Island, can also be listened to through the Open Library.

"Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) Primary Source Sets are designed to help students develop critical thinking skills by exploring topics in history, literature, and culture through primary sources. Drawing online materials from libraries, archives, and museums across the United States, the sets use letters, photographs, posters, oral histories, video clips, sheet music, and more. Each set includes a topic overview, ten to fifteen primary sources, links to related resources, and a teaching guide. TL Virtual Cafe is an online community for teacher-librarians to connect and learn from each other. TL Virtual Cafe hosts numerous webinars and online discussions including a monthly show called TL News Night. TL News Night features conversations with experts from state library associations, an overview of "this month in libraries," and a tip, tool, or title of the month.

MoocNote is a new web tool ideal for flipped classrooms. Using MoocNote, you will be able to build your own video library by importing videos from YouTube, Dropbox, or Google Drive. You can also use MoocNote's video plater interface to add notes to your videos. All of your notes link back to the appropriate place in the videos and are collected into one central place which you can access anytime, anywhere

HHMI's BioInteractive is a good place for science teachers to search for science lesson plans, videos, animations, and slideshows to use with students. You can search the BioInteractive library according to topic, keyword, or resource type.

For those who haven't heard of Canva prior to this post, it is a service that makes it easy to create beautiful slides, flyers, posters, infographics, and photo collages. Creating these graphics on Canva is a drag-and-drop process. Start by selecting a template then dragging and dropping into place background designs, pictures, clip art, and text boxes. Canva offers a huge library of clip art and photographs to use in your designs. You can also upload your own images to use in your graphics. Your completed Canva projects can be downloaded as PDF and PNG files. You can also simply link to your online graphic.
