Our Space is a set of curricular materials designed to encourage high school students to reflect on the ethical dimensions of their participation in new media environments. Through role-playing activities and reflective exercises, students are asked to consider the ethical responsibilities of other people, and whether and how they behave ethically themselves online. These issues are raised in relation to five core themes that are highly relevant online: identity, privacy, authorship and ownership, credibility, and participation. Our Space was co-developed by Project New Media Literacies (established at MIT and now housed at University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communications and Journalism) and The GoodPlay Project (Harvard Graduate School of Education)

he MEDIA unit of the Education Audiovisual Culture Executive Agency organised an Initial Training Conference on 21/22 March 2011 that brought together more than 160 people representing higher education institutions. The conference was an occasion to present all the EU instruments for mobility and university collaboration in- and outside Europe. Four panels explored topical issues such as the potential of 3D technique; the complexity of making European TV series ' co-productions; possibilities intrinsic to new media as a new way of telling stories; problems and good practices related to students' integration in the professional world.

The project funded by European LLP Programme COMENIUS. The project intends to make New Media become not a threat but a tool for the development of students literacy skills and for the building of their critical and aware approach to the understanding of reality through New Media. The project aims to make teachers being able to exploit the attractive potential that New Media have on young generation in order to raise their attention and motivate them to rediscover the importance of literacy skills (reading and writing) and to approach the flow and diffusion of information that the New Media spread, with the necessary critical skills in order to become aware users.
