Hans Rosling's famous lectures combine enormous quantities of public data with a sport's commentator's style to reveal the story of the world's past, present and future development. I think there is a potential to inject a feedback mechanism in this course, and any MOOC for that matter, with regard to the helpfulness of reading material in the Syllabus.  I think that would especially suit the Learning & Knowledge Analytics course.

SDArch - Semantic Document Architecture is our atempt to bring the vision of the Semantic Web to desktop office-like documents. SDArch aims at enabling desktop document data to be efficiently discovered, linked and shared across application, enterprise and community boundaries. It introduces 'semantic documents' as completely open and queryable resources, containing data which is uniquely identified, semantically annotated and understandable by both humans and software agents.

UCINET is a social network analysis program developed by Steve Borgatti, Martin Everett and Lin Freeman. The program is distributed by Analytic Technologies. UCINET works in tandem with freeware program called NETDRAW for visualizing networks. NETDRAW is installed automatically with UCINET.

Needlebase allows you to view web pages through a virtual browser, point and click to train it in understanding what fields on that page are of interest to you and how those fields relate to each other. Then the program goes and scrapes the data from all of those fields, publishes them into a table, list or map, and recommends merges of cells that appear to be mistakenly separate. It's very cool and it lets non-technical people do things with data quickly and easily that we used to require the assistance of someone more technical to do.

With so many websites to join, users must decide where to invest significant time in adding their same connections over and over. For developers, this means it is difficult to build successful web applications that hinge upon a critical mass of users for content and interaction. With the Social Graph API, developers can now utilize public connections their users have already created in other web services. It makes information about public connections between people easily available and useful.
