This web resource was built as a part of a student project and has developed into a useful resource for high school and college students with disabilities. The idea behind the project was to create a user-friendly site where students with disabilities could find resources to meet their individual needs. Including low cost apps, online resources and programs for multiple platforms, students are sure to find at least one resource that will contribute to their success in school! This literacy software program has a toolbar with Reading, Writing, Study Skills, and Research tools that include text-to-speech, word prediction, talking spell check and calculator, and more. The customizable toolbar floats on top of applications such as Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Reader, so students can access the support tools when needed.

Sevcik, PhD The use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) services and supports with infants and young children has been limited, owing to a number of myths about the appropriateness of AAC use with this population. This article will provide an overview of some of the myths that have hampered the inclusion of AAC into early intervention service delivery and refutes them.
