My five stories would be Great Gatsby, the Strapless Dress ban, the Bird Flu issue, Jason Collins coming out about his sexuality, and the explosive science experiment. I chose these five stories out of the bunch because I found them to be relate able and interesting simultaneously.. I also considered each news type of news when making my decisions. I wanted to incorporate each category to keep the news well rounded, informative, and intriguing for viewers.

This story is newsworthy because it brings up a prevalent issue here at Central (dress code) and also hits close to home.

This story is newsworthy for two main reasons. First of all it correlates directly with our demographic: teenagers. Secondly, the issue takes place locally, creating more interest because the issue hits "closer to home" literally.
