This website relates all of its information to society, so it is relevant for anyone who has taken notice to cyber bullying. Overall, this website seems reliable, though it isn't perfect. It is the better of the two resources I reviewed. The issues are minor, and the overall combination of design as well as content is strong. Content: When first viewing this website, the user can determine the basic content of the site, as well as its intended audience. The specific author wasn't clearly identified, therefore the information about whomever wrote the information on this site isn't available or known by the users of this website. The sponsor was clearly identified, though, as this is a government site so it clearly states that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services sponsors this website. As it implies in the title the intended audience of the site is for parents, and I would also include any adult that is interacting with school-aged students would also find this site valuable. Within the site there are many topics to choose from and therefore many resources available for a wide variety of topics ranging from preschool to High-school. Overall I thought that it was a well put together site with a lot of useful information that was easy to access and organized well. \n\nContent Evaluation\n In the end I scored this website as " Worth bookmarking for future reference." I thought that the content was very informative and there was a lot of information that was organized in a way that was user friendly I think that this is a huge part in whether or not the website is ranked highly. Some of the points that it lost marks on however were the aspects of authors, were unclear and hard to find. I also did not happen to find a lot of interactive elements like video, however the site had numerous levels, topics, and directions to look into and I did not explore everything. \n\nDesign Evaluation\n My overall score for the design of this website was "Very well designed and easy to use." My first impression of the site's homepage is pleasant. There is a lot to take in but everything looks to be well organized and in its place. It has a lot of eye appeal, and there is a clear indication of a table of contents area. The design of this website scored highly for me across the boards. One thing that was slightly unclear was about the date of last revision. The copyright was updated in 2010 but there was no specific date or indication of a date other revisions had been made. \n

Education.com looks to be a site that could even help those who wish to homeschool their children. However, as I was doing my assignment the site went down. I tried several times to get it back up, but was unsuccessful. From what I saw the content was good. The design seemed to be a little bit confusing because I was able to navigate a little before it went down. I hope they get this problem fixed. :)

Morganne Harper. Education.com is a website that contains multiple education resources for parents or teachers. It has things such as worksheets, activities, workbooks and games for children grades K-High school. You can also find articles about education on this site. The basic features and account is free, but to get the "plus" access you have to pay a monthly fee. At a first look, this website is very clear in what the purpose is. If you scroll to the bottom, you can see links that would lead you to who has sponsored and created the site. The last copyright is 2006, but there are articles from 2014, so the site is being updated with current information that is relevant to students and teachers now. Information found on the site seems to be accurate, and there are multiple resources from different sources, so it is not a one-sided website. You are able to see other sites and groups that education.com is related to and working with. They make this very clear and easily accessible. The home page loads quickly and immediately gives you a toolbar that is easy to follow. You can hover over the links on the toolbar to get specific grade levels or content area. Everything is laid out so you can navigate through the multiple pages and resources without any trouble. The graphics that are used are helpful in the areas in which they are placed. They relate to the topic that they are next to and provide hints on what that topic might be about. Overall, the site is organized very well and would be very easy to work with, even for a first time user.

Kate McDonnell October 13, 2014 From the get go a reader can tell that the purpose is to inform. It's obvious what the reader will be informed about; cyberbullying. Many different components of this topic are available to the reader, ranging from laws of cyberbullying, risks, and actual cases of cyberbullying. The intended audience of this website seems to be anyone doing research on this topic; particularly students. It isn't very advanced in wording and layout as a whole, so it might be good for junior high all the way through college students. Overall, it has very strong parts and very weak parts, though I don't think I'd recommend it because there isn't a way to verify important details. Content: When it comes to information providers, this website is weak. The authors and sponsors aren't listed anywhere, therefore the credentials of whoever created this website aren't accessible. The latest revision isn't stated anywhere on the website, so the reader has no way of knowing if the latest revision date is appropriate for this information. The only thing that might lead a reader to believe the information is current is that specific recent cases of cyberbullying are listed, so the information has to be somewhat recent. The purpose of this website is clear, and the content achieves the purpose of it; informing. The content is complete as well as well-organized and easy to understand, making it clear and convenient for the reader. It appears to be free as bias as well. This website also provides links to other reliable websites, which is another strong point. Design: The website downloads affectively and quickly. The homepage doesn't necessarily have strong eye appeal, it is bland and boring. That could be a good thing though, because it isn't overwhelming. TeacherTube is an educational resource found at teachertube.com. It is a filtered, child-safe video website based off of the popular video site called YouTube. The site, geared towards teachers and students, was initiated by a superintendent from Texas named Jason Smith and is maintained through uploaded user content. TeacherTube is a fantastic source of videos to supplement lessons of all subjects in an elementary classroom. All content on this educational website is current, and its copyright has been updated as of 2015. All video links are informational and relevant, and some information about the people who uploaded each of the videos is available; however, no contact information is provided for the website. Also, the audience and subject matter of the videos are easily determined. The site's credibility is improved by its associations with the American Institute for History Education, Glogster EDU, NASA Ares, and other highly esteemed educational online resources. Over all, TeacherTube provides reliable, audience-appropriate, educational content to students and teachers alike, making it an excellent tool to use in a flipped-design classroom or to supplement any lesson in an elementary classroom. The website's design allows users to easily navigate TeacherTube's videos. The homepage displays a sample of educational videos and organizes them into rows by audience and then by subject matter: teachers, parents, students, and then math, science, and history. Emily Lewis 4/15/15 This website is the teacher's website on PBS.org. It is called PBS Learning Media and provides lessons and resources for grades pre K-12. The website is intended to be a resource for teachers to use when looking for lessons, videos, games, or activities. Overall the website looks helpful and well put together. The content of the website ranges from a variety of lessons and videos from different providers. The name of the provider is clearly posted under the link to the resource. There is a list of media types you can select from such as images, documents, webpages, videos, lesson plans, and more. There are various subjects and grades available to use. The website is current and presents quality information that achieves its intended purpose effectively. The content is consistent with the standards and free of bias because it is merely a way for teachers to find resources. The design of the website is very pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate. The homepage is attractive and there is a column on the side to easily narrow down your search. This column includes grade level, subject area, language, accessibility features, permitted use, and media type. The websites that appear on the page include a picture, a title, the media type and the name of the provider, which makes it very easy to navigate. The option to find resources in Spanish or English can help teachers cater to the students with English as a second language.  Overall the website is very well designed.

It provides coloring pages, games, printable goodies, and craft ideas. The website is very good in both content and design. It has a theme that fits for its intended audience with bright colors and pictures. Everything within the site works very well and has a purpose. This site is worth bookmarking for anyone teaching preschool to first grade. Content Everything about this site is well done. It posts all of its legal information and contacts as links at the bottom of the page. Things that are to be given credit from another site are done so clearly. The purpose of the site is clear, to provide entertainment to teachers to use in their classroom. The content is bias free or hard to detect. All information appears to be accurate and up to date and is supplied when necessary. Overall the content is complete and cleanly done in a way that does not take away from the visual aspects of the site. Design The design of this site is extremely well done as well. The main navigation bar at the top is easy to use and clearly states each category that the site offers and makes using the site very easy. The graphics are perfect for the intended audience as elementary teachers with pictures like school buses and flowers and are not overdone. The site has sufficient information and organizes it well into categories that can be easily browsed. Links are not broken and lead to sites that are relevant and helpful as well. The site is also fantastic in keeping up to date even changing content to go with the seasons so that there are activities for every major part of the school year.

The links to other websites are working properly but they appear to be advertisements connected to random words. The purpose is clear and the content is somewhat organized but it isn't laid out in a productive way. It is free of bias but I wouldn't consider this a website to come back to. Design: This page seems to download fairly effectively. It doesn't have much eye appeal and seems very homemade with little effort. You can't really tell where you are and the content is somewhat clear but not as much as the NASA website. There is not site sponsor identified and there are no dates to show any upgrades or revisions. It's fairly easy to move around so directions wouldn't really be needed. Links to other pages are only advertisements which in most cases probably wouldn't be helpful in most cases. There is some sufficient information but it is very short.

This sight is informative and fun at the same time and would be great for older age elementary students to use. Content: The content of this webpage is both informative and fun. Its audience is clearly stated in the name and its purpose is also laid out clearly in the opening paragraph as well as the contents bar to the side. This bar makes it easy to quickly determine what is available on the website. The author is clearly identified and is credible because they are listed as a NASA official. The sponsor is obviously NASA and that is identified. The latest revision date is provided and is recent. I believe that the content is recent and all the links are working properly. All of the content is complete and the purpose is clearly stated. It is all very well organized and free of biased. I would consider this site one worth going back to. Design: The website downloads efficiently and there is immediately appeal to how organized it ia. You can tell where you are and that all the content is related to what you're looking for. This site provides a plethora of resources for children and adults keeping with current technology as well as current research. Users are able to navigate easily through this site finding information as well as activities that makes it engaging and easy for ever user. Younger children will need some assistance when looking for specific books but will be able to turn the pages as well as make the print bigger or smaller. The overall feel from community postings and twitter, gives this site great reviews. Content The content of the Children's Library allows the user to quickly determine the point and use of the site. It provides a site map that is visible, allowing material on the site to be easily identified. Identification tabs with sub menus are located at the top for quick reference. Overview This site is for children to learn. It is for a younger age probably around the 3rd or 4th grade level. All the links work, but some of the videos and games take a while to upload. They could be uploading slow because of my internet access, however. It is a very fun and energetic site for kids to look through and learn and play games all at the same time. I think kids would really enjoy exploring and learning through internet, therefore this site would be a good one for them. Teachers could use this form of technology to teach. Content There is a lot of different types of content on this site. There is everything from biology to history to spelling. With so much different information and topics kids could take a lot from this website. It is a multipurpose website that is fun for the student, but also a learning purpose as well. The links all work and go to the correct page. My favorite part of this website is all the different games to be played in the different subjects. Kids can have fun while learning because of the great areas of information and learning there is to be done on this site. Design The design of this site is okay. It is pretty well organized which is helpful for children, although these days kids know more about technology than their elders. I believe students could navigate through the site pretty easily and would love to explore the various activities and pages. Having the pictures is very good for students as well because of how much visuals have become a part of learning in society. The design is not the best but it is eye catching and pretty well organized, and works.

Overview: Kid's Know It is a site with educational games. It does not seems like it would ve appealing to kids. The site seems to be intended for younger kids, but it is unclear. I think teachers would be more appreciative to the site than the actual students. Content: There seems to be a lot of different subject areas as well as games. The site however, does not specify what grade levels it is intended for. On the plus side, there is an 'About Us' section, information about the copyright, as well as a way to contact the operators of the site. It seems to be done in a professional manner. Design: The site is colorful and catches the eye. There are lots of games and many different categories. Each subject has a picture and a description of what the link contains. The initional picture you see when you first come to the site could be more appealing. The design overall is pretty good.

The content it well organized it has a tool bar at the top to access exaclty what you need from articles, to tips, to discussions, to lesson plans (!) even a search engine. The targeted audience is hard to tell, many lesson plans can be used for a lot of different grades, but with the photos and extra's it could be more targeted at elementary ed but could also work for secondary. This website supports a bunch of other teaching websites and it is listed on the page. I cannot find where the author is listed but at the bottom of the page it has (© 1997- 2010 A to Z Teacher Stuff, L.L.C. All Rights Reserved.Use of this site signifies your agreement to the terms of use.Send questions, comments, and suggestions to webmaster@atozteacherstuff.com) So there is a place to talk to one of the authors. It doesn't have where the whole website has last been updated but the copywrite shows it's been updated in 2010. The teacher discussion forum is uploaded with new discussions every hour. And the lesson plans are updated frequently. All of the content is complete, the conection works very fast, and most importantly all of the super helpful stuff is free, no gymics saying it is the first time then you have to pay. The design meets up the the content perfectly. It is 100% professional. It makes you feel comfortable that you are on a trusted website. The graphics are appropriate for any grade of teachers, The store is appropriate and all of the sponsors look great on the page. All of the information is useful, clearly presented, and is easy on the eyes. I would give the content and design both an A.

A-Z Teacher Stuff - Review on 10/4/12 Diigo i.d= Jessle33 A-Z Teacher stuff's purpose is to provide a way to help teachers find online resources more quickly and easily. It helps to find lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, books etc. for the everyday teacher to help them out in the classroom. The site is designed for teachers of pretty much any grade level k-12 and any subject they teach. There are various resources available to them such as: themes, lessons, tips, articles, discussion, printables, and ages. All of these tabs at the top of the site take you to where you want to go and help to narrow your search in the area of your necessities. My overall impression of this site is that it is very helpful to teachers and can really help them find the things they are looking for in their classrooms. There was so much to choose from and so many categories that are available. Teachers need help to and this site does just that.

Overview: WebMD is a website designed to provide very general and basic information (not necessarily medical advice) for patients about health problems and healthy eating. As far as credibility goes, I do not doubt much of the information provided, but if you are looking for real answers to medical questions, this is not your website. Fortunately all content is free. It would be a good site to look at to find out what a certain disease is, what the symptoms are and how to go about dealing with it (drug names, etc.) and when to call a doctor. I think overall it is a good site for basic medical information but I would not rely on it to solve any medical problem, as its' purpose is not clinical based. Design Summary: From a first look, there is a lot going on in this webpage. Pictures are flashing back and forth, ads are flashing on the sides of the page and there is a lot of different colors and different sizes of texts. It is fairly organized however and is easy to find what you are looking for relatively quickly. I had trouble finding a list of sponsors and all I could find was a statement on the information tab which said, "We allow third parties to provide funding for WebMD to independently create information about certain topics within a specified health category". Also the ads on the site were mostly for drug companies, which cause some bias. The site worked the same in Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Finding contact information was easy enough (at the very bottom of the page in small text) but I could not find any means of contacting them except for email.

Sarah Schepp September 1, 2010 Website Evaluation #2 Overall- This website was created to give high school students worksheets they could do that would let them still have fun like kids. The worksheets focused more on engaging the students so they don't always have to do book work or listen to a teacher give a lecture. The worksheets seemed very useful but I didn't care for the layout or design. I couldn't find the information I was looking for very easily. Content- The content of having the information that gives students worksheet that is fun to them is a wonderful idea. This will keep the students wanting to do the homework. I couldn't locate any information from this website other than the copy right date at the bottom of the page and sponsor who's name was in the lower left had corner. Other than that I couldn't get any of the information and it made this website not seem so good. Design- The design was very flashy and full of graphics, this livened up the website and made it seem like students might actually like the worksheets that it provided. It had a black background with white words which seemed to make the words explode from the page. The information seemed more interesting. Everything was labeled clear and seemed to be easy to locate, it even brought up worksheets for elementary students.

Cara Storey 9/2/10 Overview: Agenda Web is a site that offers free resources to enhance the learning of English. The resources range from sites for teachers, to videos, to sites for practicing grammar. The audience of this site is unclear as the content is jumbled and disorganized. This site isn't one I would use. It's poorly put together, distracting, and overall, hard to navigate. The contents are subpar, and are not exercises I would use in a classroom.

My overall impression of this site is that it would be great for toddlers to be able to start getting ready for school activities. Content It is easy to determine the basic content of this site. The site tells exactly who the webpage is for. The author is not clearly identified and I am not able to find a link to find information about the author. The sponsor is clearly identified in the top right hand corner. There is a contact link available to receive more information if needed. The latest revision date is not available and it is unclear if the content is updated frequently. However, this site really does not need information updated since it is reading material for toddlers. All links are working properly. The purpose of the site is clear that it is informational and entertainment. The website looks complete and professional and everything is organized very well. All material is easily understood and has a lot of useful information. The content is free of bias opinions. There are interactivities available for toddlers that make this site more valuable. Overview: This site contains very useful information. This site allows you to go to the links of education websites that promote math, reading, science, english, and lesson plans and activities. The links lead to very useful information that assists teachers in their classroom to whatever grade or subject they are teaching. Content: This site had had twenty-six pages with a little over one hundred links on each page. I clicked on many different links and found so much information. There were some that had interactive games played on the computer, while others had printable worksheets and activity books. There were sites dedicated to assisting students with learning disabilities and sites for networking teachers around the world. Design: This site did have a boring home page. However, as I entered the different sites linked, they were full of color and organization. On the home page, there was no type of organization. Under the site listed, there would be a couple sentences of description so I was not too confused on what I was looking at. I wish there would have been an organization process for the various subjects this site provided.

Overview After looking over this site, it is definitely easy to see that it has a lot of information, links to further information, and search options to help you navigate the site if you need further assistance. There are a lot of resources on this website alone so it looks very professional and well put together. I like the site because it gives you tools and methods on every subject in education and even has an alphabet index so that you can find the exact information that you are looking for. Content I am able to distinguish the basic content of this site at first glance and can clearly see that the audience is intended to be students, teachers, and anyone having anything to do with education. I am able to easily find the authors, author information, title, sponsor, and last publication date on the homepage of this website. The site shows that it was last updated today, 01/24/2010, so I believe they update their information on a daily basis which makes the quality of information recent and reliable. The site is bias free and allows you to access other sites and its links quickly and easily. Design I was able to get to the website and its links quickly. The homepage is attractive and has a variety of graphics including pictures, font styles, colors, and decoration. I am able to find the author, sponsor, and last update easily on the homepage. The information is organized and consistent and gives valuable information that sticks with the purpose of the site. The material is current and I came up with no dead ends when trying to access the links that are provided on the homepage.

There are no directions in the site but they may be needed to guide the reader to what they are looking for. There was only advertisement graphics which did not benefit the webpage's content. The basic format was different throughout the webpage making it hard to browse through and ding information. The links are well organized and easy to use. Summary: This webpage is not a very reliable source although it is only science projects so it does not necessarily need to be. There are several good ideas for science projects for teachers to use in the classroom or for students to perform outside of the classroom. Although clicking onto the homepage is a little overwhelming with different resources for science projects to use as well. There is different ways of searching for science projects and that makes it easier for the reader to find what they are specifically looking for. Overall this web site serves its purpose by exposing fun and interesting science projects to its readers.

Content: This is a teacher help website that includes tons of links and recommendations to help teachers in interactions with students. Some of the links include: inspire your students, sites for teachers, free learning kits, online degrees for teachers, ect.. According to the site there are over 330 theme based recourse pages. Design: the website layout is simple and easy to navigate. There are hundreds of links and other pages of help for teachers. The links are spread out everywhere on the site. The only hard part of this site is determining which links are links and which are advertisements; because many of the advertisements are education oriented.
