"Dolphin Browser HD for iPad, the excellent alternative browser for the iPad, has been updated again today, to Version 3.0. This update adds polish to some of the unique features of Dolphin Browser HD - namely its webzine pages and its gestures that are used to access frequently visited sites."

From time to time, we see people posting questions about how to write on a digital photo on their iPad. Usually, they have to import the photo into a handwriting notes app, write, then export. Starting this weekend through February 14, the full version of A+ Signature is FREE!

"Social media storytelling tool Storify finally untethered itself from the desktop on Wednesday with the launch of a free iPad app. Like the web-based version of Storify, which has been used by news organizations such as the New York Times and Al Jazeera, the app makes it easy to scroll through and assemble Tweets, YouTube videos, Facebook photos and Instagram photos in a social media timeline. Its drag-and-drop interface translates perfectly to the iPad."

"GarageBand offers a selection of virtual guitar, bass, keyboards and drums that you play by tapping on the iPad's screen. To make music that sounds any good, you'll need to know how to play the real versions of these instruments."

While users can't copy information out of the app, it is possible to save screenshots. "The flexible Fuze Meeting web conferencing platform already had a very solid iOS story, with the ability to schedule and start meetings from the iPad (including multiparty HD videoconferencing). Now, with the recently released version 4.0 of the app, the company is building a bridge to corporate high-end conferencing gear."

"The UK and USA Wired magazines come to the iPad through two different free apps. This month, the UK version is getting (available now) a free Supplement called Sound and Vision. Just launch the app on your iPad and you will see the option to download for free."

"I am revisiting this topic of enhancing students creativity using iPad apps for the second time this year. Almost 10 months ago I featured here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning a selection of some great apps that can be used in class to boost students creative thinking; and today and after having reviewed hundred of new educational apps since that post, I decided to compile an updated version of that list and include some newly featured apps in the category of creativity. Of course by creativity I mean giving students the chance to take their learning to the next step, one in which they are active producers and participators in knowledge building.
