Mayan Calendar Spurs End-Of-The-World Debate : NPR - 0 views

  •
    The Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012, spelling doomsday predictions. While astronomers say this is nonsense, others believe there will be a shift in world consciousness from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius. Religious scholars say this has the beginnings of a new religious movement.">@import "/templates/css/news/common.css";@import "/templates/css/news/story.css";@import "/templates/css/news/print_story.css";

    Women's dress in Islamic culture is based on a principle of female modesty. Customs of the time, place, and social class of the woman influence what she might wear. The most interesting aspect of the eastern religions we have hitherto studied would probably be the beauty contained within each religion. There seems to be a unifying ideal with both Hinduism and Buddhism: an accordance with peace and tranquility. Now, obviously both religions have the bloodstained hands of religious battle. However, that seems to be the antithesis of both of the religions.
    Buddhism is, on the other hand, the religion I found most interesting. Purely from an ideological standpoint Buddhism tends to appeal to me via meditation, peace and accordance with oneself and their surroundings.

    Well, I think the most important information that people should be aware of are the traditional warning signs of a cult. Thereby, reducing the chance that the individual gets caught up in the cult.
