What is a cult? In the begining you can look at a religious group or any group and not think that it is cult. But as time drags on you see things start to change. Attitude and behaviors start to change and you see yourself getting caught up in the moment. You start to listen to deep to what your hearing from your leader and forgetting to think on your own. People know right from wrong, and people tend to get lost in there cult and start do things that they normally wouldnt do. When you start to notice yourself or someone else notices that you are changing, that would be a good sign to rethink what you are doing in that place and it might be time to get out while you still can, before somthing terrible happens. -A religion should never take you out of society... Christianity states that you are to be IN the world but not OF the world. Meaning, you should be a part of society but not their values, you are to be set apart. -Secondly, a religion should never brake off communication from current of former members, if you don't trust the people in your group to talk about anything, then you shouldn't be a part of that group.
There are many other signs and things to watch out for when it comes to cults but it think that these are the biggest things to look out for.

The most important thing for people to know about cults is how overbearing and controlling leaders of the cult can be. When different situations go bad or get intense then one should realize something is wrong and attempt to leave their environment.
