It speaks about having a balance in your classroom, and mentions the best method to integrating technology is to have a plan as well as a back up plan. 

It is important as a teacher to know how to use classroom management especially with technology involved in the classroom.

I also found this article very interesting. It points out very important information on applications used in the classroom, integrating technology, and always having a back up plan which is very important.

Realizing that technology is just an AID and not a substitute for good teaching is something I believe lots of people are forgetting. This article backs that.

This article is helpful to us considering we are all aspiring teachers. I'm sure we will all have the opportunity to attend this convention so this can contribute to our experience during that time. In this article Education Secretary Arne Duncan highlights how the achievement gaps within our schools can be closed by the increase investment in technology use in all classrooms. He states that 2/3 of teachers wish they had more technology in the classrooms which is being limited due a high percentage of schools not having adequate bandwidth or access to high-speed internet. As future teachers who are learning now how to integrate technology into our classrooms this article is important to our class because it shows that most schools do not really have the opportunity to utilize this knowledge. But, the actions of Duncan and other reforms are trying to ensure that we as teachers receive the professional development and resources available so we can integrate our technological knowledge in the classroom.

I love the one book program that our district runs, where everyone in town reads the same book and we have an author visit as a wrap up. I have met some new and interesting people that way. Having that collective understanding on just one thing is vital to extending relationships amongst people who would normally never connect. The more you know about people around you, the more you care. The global read-aloud can achieve that same interconnectedness.

This article is an innovative solution to allowing students to work together and not worry about doing all the work and splitting the credit with other students who did much less. The strategy uses google drive as a way to monitor what gets done what student. In addition, groups are assigned a total number of points, divided evenly between all the students in a group.

It is effective. I agree.

What a wonderful article! Teachers, Principals, parents, and students need to read this article. Our 21st century learners are quite different than they were 15 years ago. Technology integration in the classroom is a proven fact that students will be critical thinkers, higher order learners, and be competitive in the real world. Love it.

This article discusses the shift we are seeing in the classrooms as more and more technology is integrated. It is helpful because it shows us how we, as future teachers, must use technology with our students. We must trust them with the technology. We are no longer going to be in classrooms where we have more access to technology than our students. It is going to be universal. We will be using technology  interactively with the students and the students will have a better understanding of the subject, and technology they're using.
