This extension is also available as an app for either iphone or android. It is wonderful for people (busy students) always on the run. It can easily organize lists and reminders for you. When you use it as an extension you can click on the extension and quick view all of your tasks. It can sync your tasks and lists to your other device. You can add reminders, red flags, and prioritize your information, etc.. In addition, you can voice your requests into the app and organize that request.

This google Doc has over 50 extensions on it, there are some really cool things that I never realized that you could do before. I really liked the extension called Ginger which corrects your spelling and grammar directly in your Gmail.

This is a very informative list of chrome extensions. I like a lot of the extensions that dealt with privacy such as Collusion. It lets you see what sites track your information in the background, and helps you to stop them if you wish.

This is an excellent post that discusses the pros and cons of digital reading versus paperback reading. You may want to read up and think about how have your students optimize their digital reading if they will be reading off of ipads instead of paperback books.

Bob Wise has a lot of experience with the department of Education so his insight is quite useful. He give 3 basic tips about how to make the intergration process as easy as possible. Quite an interesting read!!!

I found this article on 11 good Chrome extensions for teachers and students. Overall these were very helpful and apply to a variety of subjects and grade levels. I think that "Stay Focused" is an excellent extension that limits the time on "time wasting" websites. I already downloaded this extension and think teachers would get great use of this and the other listed extensions.

Great collection of extensions, some I have not seen on other lists

I think this is helpful to know because it gives many examples and activities that can aid our instruction as future educators.

Class Dojo allows for teachers to improve behavior by collecting data and generating it for the teacher. Furthermore, this information can then be shared with parents and administrators. Teachers can give their students feedback on their behavior, as well as send quick messages that resemble texts. It also syncs across your devices which is nice for accessing the extension at home.
