This website can be used as a online encyclopedia. The information on this site is not 100% accurate since anyone can get on and change information. I would use this in my classroom as a source for students when working on finding information for a specific topic.

A wiki about 21st Century technoogies. It as a good amount of information.
  •
I like this wiki. It had the information need without adding extra information that can sometimes happen in wikis. The fact that the site is protected so that random people can just add information to the site. Also this wiki is up to date. It gives a lot on link to outside resources. I can see myself using this resource in the future.
  •
I really like this wiki. It almost seems more like a blog, with stories on education instead of articles. I really like that it has a sign-in system to prevent from random and unwanted changes! This will be a resource I return to.

Flat Classroom Certified Teacher Course - Information and Announcement - 0 views

  •
This is a link to the program for "Flat Classroom teacher certification" (2 credits through UNI).
  •
This link is more about providing information on training that is available for teachers that want to become flat classroom certified rather than direct information that could be used by a teacher in the classroom. This makes the information contained in this resource exclusively for teacher use for possible teacher development. I know that the AEA 267 website http://www.aea267.k12.ia.us/pd/ has listings of teacher development courses but I did not see one anywhere else on flat classrooms. This course is one that I might consider taking in the future.

Thanks for sharing this wiki Hailey. I really enjoyed the information and links about 21st century learning that were available. The site is easy to use and provides information that is both relevant and meaningful to instructional technology. With so much out there it's nice to find both attributes.
  •
I agree that is Wiki is a great resource that can be used efficiently in my own future classroom. The Wiki contains a lot of great information for teachers to use in their classrooms to "move forward" and incorporate technology and 21st century skills into their classrooms. The site has easy to navigate categories and gives meaningful, relevant, and constructive uses for 21st century (student) skills.
  •
There are a lot of great links and information in this resource. The Wiki is beneficial for classrooms who want to learn about how to integrate some of these activities into their daily schedule. For example, the Wiki provides resources for Wikis, Podcasts, gaming, digital storytelling, and much more.

This article highlights the 2001: Space Odyssey "Hal"-like voice controlled super-smart computer assistant features of the iPhone 4s, and what implications it may have for the future of learning. It also sheds light on the dangers of reliance on such technology, specifically that whoever controls the information accessed by this technology will control users' thoughts/perceptions/minds, etc.

" This blog is the place where the teachers at these meeting share the insights they gained. It is a great resource for teachers who are unable to attend "teachmeets" in person.

QR Code Periodic Table with Symbols | Flickr - Photo Sharing! - 0 views

  •
This periodic table integrates QR (quick response) codes for specific elements. Scanning an individual qr code with your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) via a qr reader, will take you to YouTube videos that provide additional information about a specific element. This can be an innovative way of utilizing QR codes in a chemistry class.
  •
Here is a great example of using QR codes to support a chemistry curriculum.

If your looking for the right web 2.0 tool to meet a specific level of Blooms Taxonomy this is the place to go. A detailed chart indicating which tools associate in each area.
  •
This resources use of a pyramid allows teachers to quickly differentiate what technological tools will be most appropriate for specific learning goals matched to Bloom's Taxonomy. This will mainly be used by teachers but some students will find it easy to understand and can use it for developing student-lead projects that are on the Bloom's "create" level. I do not know of any other resources that link taxonomy and technology together in such an efficient manner.
  •
Thanks for sharing this resource Destery. Lately, apps for mobile devices (particularly iOS devices) organized by Blooms has been buzzing on Twitter. Here is a site called "Bloomin' Android," by Kathy Schrock, that organizes Android apps on the revised Blooms Taxonomy. (http://kathyschrock.net/androidblooms/).
  •
I went out and found the "Bloomin iPad" information she put together as well. I found quite a few helpful apps on the list, thanks for the information.
  •
This is great. Just learned about Bloom last month. It is good to have a resource that will help in directing me towards apps that will go along with the targeted part of the taxonomy. I think this will be used mostly by teachers.

This is a great resource for teachers to link high quality educational PBS programs to curriculum. Youtube can be a time sucking hole for teachers sifting through the countless videos. I think that this site can help teachers find or develop resources that will actually support learning goals. Students can use this site also to watch videos and programs on subjects they are interested in. http://www.teachertube.com/ also has teacher resources and videos.
  •
I agree that this website is a great resource that can be efficiently used in my own classroom. The website breaks down information and resources by grade bands, so that teachers can focus specifically on their grade without having to filter through a lot of other irrelevant information. This site can use used to help teachers link learning objectives, goals, and state standards to activities and lesson plans. Teachers could also give this website to students as a way to help their improve their learning by watching videos that interest them. Another website that has similar resources is: http://www.smithsonianeducation.org/educators/.
  •
PBS resources are really great! I have not had a chance to use them in the classroom yet but have explored what the site has to offer. I first found that they were providing resources to teachers here at UNI and at a technology conference. They mentioned how they link the standards to their activities and lesson plans which is great for teachers to quickly find what they need. I would recommend this to the younger elementary grades.

Early ACCESS Iowa - 0 views

  •
This is Iowa's early intervention.  This is for children that are birth to age three.  This is early access' links and resources pages.  Having this page is help because these resources are researched before they are put onto this page.
  •
This would be a great resource in my future classroom because it is has well researched, reliable links to provide information on early intervention resources. Many times teachers do not have the knowledge of ability to provide an individual child with what they need. So this site can direct teachers to organizations and resources that can help that child. This site would only be used by teachers, health care providers, social service agencies, and parents. It is not designed for students learning activities or a resource for coursework. I am not aware of any other resources like this that focus on birth through age three.

I like this website. Think it will be a great resource for teachers to use because it breaks down how everything works. I would use this as a resource for my classroom. I believe this site contains a lot of information that our students need to learn about.
  •
I love this diigo assignment. One of the most taxing problems as a teacher will be to find resources to use in the classroom. This is a resource of resources for teachers.
  •
This site has endless possibilities. I like all of the possible resources you can get from it.
  •
This website embraces Web 2.0 and all is has to offer :) It provides examples of tools we can use to help our educational endeavors.

Fun wiki for students and teachers. It gives the students a chance to look at what other students are doing around the world in school including projects, activities, and school lives. It is a great way to connect with others in a controlled environment

Before this site I had never even heard of a Glog, but after this site I find them to be very interesting and useful. The variety of information on this site is so vast and with so many participants from so many locations the content is great. This would be a great project for a classroom to participate in, through Glogs, which would be fun and educational at the same time for students. They could create their own or browse others for a quality yet interactive lesson. I will add it to the "someday I want to use this in my classroom" list. Thanks for sharing.
