I played the maths challenge Dragonbox, and was just going to spend a few minutes on this game but I found it fun to keep going and work out how to continue with the problems when I got stuck, until I understood the concept that the challenge was teaching. • But our own research and that of others suggests that confusion, rather than being a negative, can actually be a productive aspect of the learning process.
  • The key is to ensure that when confusion occurs, it is recognised and it is not allowed to persist for too long
  •
Why there needs to be a bit of confusion in learning.
