If you have used a sticky note you can relate to the concept of Padlet. It is a great tool for students to collaborate and share information. You can post all kinds of digital content on the wall to share ideas or brainstorm.
This is a great tool to use. My kids really enjoy it. When we were doing the PYP Exhibition 25 out of the 27 children in my class chose to do their reflections on padlet, so much easier to mark than taking 27 books home.

I tried a similar approach two years ago with high school adolescents when by chance I discovered Sheldon's book: 'The Multiplayer Classroom: Designing Coursework as a Game' (2011) http://goo.gl/7NBlhj . Results then were not as expected, maybe because of my students profile, maybe because of my personal adaptation. Having discovered Classcraft, I'll see if the graphic environment and mechanics fills the gap I couldn't make attractive enough to cover with my own improvised adaptations through PowerPoint slides.
