I've used this site with First Graders to create simple stories. They can make their own drawings directly or -this is what we've done- do them in paper and scan them.
I have used Canvas many times. It is similar to Edmodo, but I think it is better when working or having students that are adults. Canvas allows students to contact directly and develop a connection outside the course.
A great resource that can be used to discuss online safety and social media as well as exploring English topics by basing profiles on characters from stories that you are currently looking at.
This is my first time trying a course like this from Coarsera.org and I am excited to see what I can learn about technology as a tool and how to use it more effectively in my class.
