Suzie Boss and Jane Krauss's book Reinventing Project Based Learning is a wealth of information about digital tools, the internet and Web 2.0 and how these tools can be used to meet the essential learning needs of 21st century students. Here are some ideas taken from Chapter 3 of the book, all of which I've used with primary students and which I have tried to align with the new ICT in the PYP strands.
Web 2.0 is about users and content instead of surfing on the Internet. It's more like what can the Internet do for me as a creator, a collaborator, an active participant, rather than a passive viewer of what is out there on the web
We've created the Digital ID wiki to provide students, teachers, and administrators with a toolkit of reliable information, resources, and guidelines to help all of us learn how to be upstanding Digital Citizens who maintain a healthy Digital Identity (ID) in the 21st Century.

Globally Collaborative Project Ideas Inspired by Learning 2.0
A space inspired by the Learning 2.0 Conference in Shanghai on 14 - 16 September 2007. During the conference Kim Cofino moderated 2 very productive unconference sessions where conference participants developed 20 different ideas for connecting our classrooms. This is a space where we can start to cross-connect and further develop these ideas in a shared space. Please feel free to add, edit, embellish any and all of these ideas!
Listed below are the 20 project ideas developed at the conference, each project is linked to another page within the wiki containing more details.
These are links from the unconference session, "Finding and Downloading Educational Podcasts," at the Learning 2.011 Conference in Shanghai, China, on September 10, 2011.
Tumblr is a micro-blogging platform that churns out more than 64 million posts daily. There are 57.5 million blogs on Tumblr, which might seem intimidating to anyone not already using it.
Tumblr could be useful to you for many reasons, depending on what you're looking to get out of it, for example, inspiration, scrapbooking, communication or a portfolio.
An internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion website where you and your visitors can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. These messages can then be viewed at any future time, even if you were not online when they were posted. Forums are a great way to foster interaction, discussion, and improve customer loyalty.
