Globally Collaborative Project Ideas Inspired by Learning 2.0 A space inspired by the Learning 2.0 Conference in Shanghai on 14 - 16 September 2007. During the conference Kim Cofino moderated 2 very productive unconference sessions where conference participants developed 20 different ideas for connecting our classrooms. This is a space where we can start to cross-connect and further develop these ideas in a shared space. Please feel free to add, edit, embellish any and all of these ideas! An internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion website where you and your visitors can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. These messages can then be viewed at any future time, even if you were not online when they were posted. Forums are a great way to foster interaction, discussion, and improve customer loyalty.

Professional Development Overview Professional development is not just something that is important for teachers. It is important for all those involved in education from the support staff right up to the administrators. Professional development that includes participants from support, teaching and administration at the same time can help to bridge the divisions between groups. When differing groups work together, there is a greater chance for understanding each others work and also for forging bonds between the groups to work towards a common purpose. Developing a culture of continuous learning and modeling the use of personal learning networks will be key to engaging students and the community. Hello and Welcome to the Web 2 in Education Wiki. This site is designed to provide teachers with a directory of free webtools along with some suggestions as to how they may be used in the classroom. I have searched over 2000 websites and listed over 295 tools, that's almost 300 opportunities for you to use ICT in your classroom and all for free! Where possible I have included a brief review and a screenshot or working example of the tool. If you come across any other tools that are not on my list please let me know.
