Well I have a dedicated server, I have been a customer for about 5 years, every 7 or 8 months or so you will experience a heart stopping, business issue that will really have you frustrated.
This a great site people are nice at hostgator even on the phone i had downgrade my plan from reseller that i just got yesterday to webhost because i choose the wrong plan
I'd like to announce a small change to our server configurations and terms of service regarding e-mail limitations. As a number of users we're interested in having the limits increased quite a bit, we've decided to go ahead and allow up to 500 e-mails per hour to be sent from our shared accounts and systems.
It appears that customers are having issues accessing their sites. At this time, the issue is only affecting ATT/Comcast users who are on reseller servers, rondo and barracuda.
Well, I've got myself up and running with HostGator and I now find everything very user-friendly and easy, even if I had to ask a few questions to the live support team on setup.
I was reading Dave and his concerns with Support. My most recent issue was more with them not verifying that they actually fixed the problem. I had an issues with error_log file being all over the place.
I just purchased a dedicated server, and also have a resellers account. Total I'm paying out to hostgator is almost $250 a month. But for those considering upgrading to a dedicated server, think hard first.
I am positively amazed - I have a web hosting a/c with another "big name" hosting company and installed a CMS on it - all good. Loading posts was taking AGES - more then 40 secs to go to a page.
I ordered a dedicated server (Elite) on February 16, 2008, and it was set up within an hour or two. The next day, I used WHM / cPanel to import my accounts over from another dedicated server at another host (which, fortunately, also used WHM / cPanel).
I haven't noticed a single point of downtime in the last few months since I started. And I don't know how to check HG speed performance against other hosts but things don't seem to be a problem there either.
Ok, I've been with several hosting companies since I wandered into this mysterious world a shade under a decade ago and hostgator has been my front running favorite for a while now. So when my sister came to me and asked for help setting up a vlog my choice for a host was obvious.
New client here, had another site on godadddy and decided to try you out even though godaddy was offering lower prices (but lower storage/etc) since i read amazing reviews of your service.
I have been through many many different hosting companies. Host Gator has proved to be the best I have dealt with. The support is absolutely phenomenal. I had a question in the middle of the night, there was a representative on to help resolve my minor question.
My forum has been down for at least 10 hours. I submitted a ticket at least 10 hours ago and still have received no response. I see that others are having what seems to be the same issue. Why no response? Why hasn't this been addressed? Not a happy customer right now!
