Excellent collection of primary source sets on women's suffrage. Interestingly, it shows the counter-movement against women's suffrage by some women. Fascinating stuff.

Cold War International History Project : Documents : The Vassiliev Notebooks - 10 views

  •
The Project supports the full and prompt release of historical materials by governments on all sides of the Cold War, and seeks to accelerate the process of integrating new sources, materials and perspectives from the former "Communist bloc" with the historiography of the Cold War which has been written over the past few decades largely by Western scholars reliant on Western archival sources. It also seeks to transcend barriers of language, geography, and regional specialization to create new links among scholars interested in Cold War history.

It's a rather obscure topic but you never know, they might be useful for someone. Most of the manuscripts are partial and are from the Roman period in Egypt.

The California Institute for Ancient Studies Biblical History Main Menu - 5 views

  •
Not quite sure why the "California Institute for Ancient Studies' has German on the homepage. Not great quality but if it's Bronze Age I usually bookmark it regardless - there's not much on that era.

Good for basic research or a lesson activity. Some of the articles looked alright. I'm not sure how the content is generated or if it's very reliable.

Parliament Rolls of Medieval England | British History Online - 2 views

  •
These medieval parliamentary records have just been released. They're part of the 'premium content' section but it's only 30 pounds per year to access so might be worth it.

History - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com - 5 views

  •
I can't figure out if the content on this site is created for the site or if it has a search ability and retrieves content from all around the web. Contains many articles on early modern and modern American history.

Maps of War ::: Visual History of War, Religion, and Government - 15 views

  •
Animated maps showing the imperial history of the Middle East and the spread of religions. The graphics are beautiful and provide a simple overview of the broad sweep of history. I've found these useful at the start of a unit/semester/term to provide a general introduction. My students think they need a hard rock track in the background as a soundtrack...
