Saw a commercial warning parents not to let their teens spend too much time on the internet. Interesting site for parents all about the dangers of media.

New Facebook Groups feature - document sharing, mass email, group chat.

Facebook's new application which allows small sub sections of friends to form groups. It includes the ability to have group chats as well as share documents and send out emails to all members of the group. I see a potential for education in that younger students who are already on facebook all the time but know less about other document sharing or collaboration features may have a new outlet for doing group work or getting help with homework.

Popular nerd site, Gizmodo, is offering online electronics courses for their readers. Wish this had been around when I had to take electronics courses in college. Sometimes, simple videos that you can play and replay can do so much more for you than a PhD clad professor and a book.

Interesting to see what kind of role educational technology will play in this conversation.

After reading this I wonder what other resources there are online for learning all those things that I have found difficult to master in my life.
