The Random House youtube site. I found this after reading a discussion post on the Book and Journal discussion board.

I saw this last spring at a meeting I was at, so this might be old news to everyone here, but I thought it's such a great illustration of what magazines can do with the iPad. Since I don't have an iPad, I am not even sure if this is what an actual SI iPad issue looks like. Anyone know?

This is classic! I like the "electronic journalism" term that was used to describe their methods. If only the journalism industry knew what was coming . . . the guy saying "we're not in it to make much money" -* the newspaper delivery guy "not worried about losing his job" shakes my head*. Oh, and I own a home computer too - lol.

I lean to the copyleft so I like to see stories on free content leading to increased sales for artists and content providers.

New bill is in the Senate that would make illegal streaming of audiovisual works over the Internet a felony offense in some cases potentially hurting YouTube. More broadly, Bill S.978 could also hurt anyone who embeds these videos, leading to 5 years of jail time.
