The hydraulic hybrid system uses stored hydraulic energy instead of diesel fuel to power the truck during waste collection stops. A hydraulic launch assist system, also known as a parallel hybrid, is bolted onto the truck's existing power train and connects using an electronically controlled transfer case.

The project is based on a gradual introduction of hydrogen-powered fuel cell buses and aims to set up bus fleets with fuel cell vehicles and the necessary infrastructure.

The bus is fitted with an electric-motor hybrid system powered by batteries and fuel cells, and is fueled with high-pressure hydrogen gas. During operation, the vehicle does not emit carbon dioxide, said to be a cause of global warming, or any other atmospheric pollutant such as nitrogen oxide; it is both highly energy-efficient and very quiet.

Hybrid clouds combine a private cloud with a public cloud, alleviating data privacy worries from your company if sensitive or corporate data needs to be kept on premise, whilst placing less critical environments into public cloud. Hybrid clouds are also useful for scalability.

The proliferation of portable consumer electronics such as computers, cell phones and e-book readers combined with expected expanded production of hybrid and all-electric vehicles has placed significant new demands upon manufacturers for low-cost, energy efficient and environmentally-friendly batteries.

The performance of vehicles with fuel cells is twice as high as those with combustion engines. So we reduce fuel consumption by a factor of 2. What's more, it's possible to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, or green gas emissions due to road traffic.
