From the moment Anil Kapoor bought the Indian Version official rights of the famous American T.V Series 24, The Trade, Press, Media and Viewers started drawing certain comparisons. Some started comparing Anil Kapoor with Keifer Sutherland, while others started analyzing Indian Viewer's acceptance towards the show. Anil Kapoor's '24' premiered its first episode tonight at 10 pm on Colors. It also replaced the popular comedy show, Comedy Nights With Kapil.So how is the show? Will it shatter all Daily Soap records with its TRP? Will 24 bring a new revolution in the history of Indian Television? Can 24 become a platform where a T.V watching viewer starts accepting big stars on small screen (On a Serial Format, of course and not in some Game or Reality based shows)?The serial's first episode starts with an explanation from its protagonist Jai Singh Rathod (Anil Kapoor) where he explains how India has faced some major terrorist attacks and for which Indian Government has formed ATU (Anti-Terrorist Unit) to protect our country from any such future damages. Jai Singh Rathod is the head of this ATU.Jai Singh Rathod is celebrating his wife Trisha Rathod's (Tisca Chopra) birthday along with his daughter Kiran (Sapna Pabbi). Jai get's a call from Nikita Rai (Mandira Bedi) who is a government agent at ATU. The minute Jai reaches the ATU Wing, He is informed about a serious threat on PoliticianAditya Singhania (Neil Bhoopalam) who is a Prime-Ministerial candidate and a youth icon. Aditya Singhania's life is in danger. Jai (While his way to ATU) get's a call from Wasim Khan (Anupam Kher) who is a Research and Analysis wing (RAW) officer informing about a "Rat" in ATU wing.Irritated by his father's behavior, Kiran goes out to party with her friends without informing her mother. The result is she goes missing.Aditya Singhania is ready to take his oath the next day with a prepared speech by his Mother (Anita Raj). But all hell breaks loose when he gets an immediate call from a T.V Channel head (Suchitra Pillai) who informs him about some of his dark crime which he committed 12 years back.A contract Killer is on his way from Thailand but killed in the Flight itself by another Femme Fatale. The Indian adaptation of '24', retains all the elements of the international series, the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving storylines, with 24 episodes capturing 24 hours.Director Abhinay Deo does full justice with his dedicated direction along with tight screenplay by writers Rensil D'Silva and Milan Milaap Zaveri. This one does not at all looks like a T.V Series but it looks like a One Hour feature film on TV. Full marks to the Direction, Writing and Production team for creating a wonderful extravaganza on small screen. Performance wise, The show totally belongs to the one and only Anil Kapoor who makes you sit tight without touching your Remote Control buttons with his charm and persona. Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer might have been good there, but here Anil Kapoor is extra-ordinarily amazing as Jai Singh Rathod. Tisca Chopra, Anupam Kher, Mandira Bedi are superb in their respective parts. Neil Bhoopalam is just outstanding as Aditya Singhania and trust me, this first season belongs to him after Jai Singh Rathod. We are yet to see Shabana Azmi, But it was nice to see Anita Raj in a mind blowing role after a long time. Special mention to the actress who played Femme Fatale, The one who killed the contract killer and jumps from the flight. She hardly had 10 minutes in the First Episode, but she made her presence felt real strong.It is reported, some major channels initially refused to buy the idea of Indian Version of 24, At least not until Colors swooped in. I am very much sure those channels now regret it. I really have no clue or will not lay a challenge if 24 beats other Thrillers running strongly on other TV Channels with huge TRP's, But 24 will be the most exciting, The most talked about and the most interesting TV Mini Series India has ever produced.Prepare yourself on every Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm for a Thrilling roller coaster ride of 24 as this one is most Powerful, Gripping and an Honest show you will ever come across.

Filmmaker Punit Malhotra, whose directorial Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases soon, says that he wanted the film to be a two-hero two-heroine, and for the same, he wanted Saif Ali Khan to be the other hero, besides Imran Khan. "At one point of time this film was a two hero-two heroine subject. I only went to the boys. It was Saif and Imran. But for some reasons that didn't work out. I then made it into a solo hero film," says Punit. After making debut with I Hate Luv Storys, Punit took quite long to come up with his next."Imran made me wait a lot. I took three drafts to him, he had issues with first and second draft. When I went for the third time, he approved the first draft only. That led to the delay but I have no complaints," said Punit. Meanwhile, rumours had that Shahid Kapoor was approached for the project.Speaking on the same, Punit said that he did approach another actor, but denied naming him. "Imran initially rejected it, so I went to another actor, but that didn't work out and I made the changes in the script and went back to Imran and then he liked the first draft itself," he said.He also revealed that Saif rejected the offer. "Things with Saif never worked out, but he said take Kareena. We also felt at some point that there is too much happening, so we mellowed it down and made it one hero film," Punit said."We were first waiting for Imran's approval and after that happened, we started thinking about the female lead opposite him. Imran asked me who I wanted, I said Kareena but I felt she was beyond my reach," the director said."Also she had lot of projects in hand at that time. Then it so happened that she walked out of those projects and her dates opened up. I called her, narrated the script and it worked out well," he said. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on November 22!

The popular television actress Suhasi Dhami promises her fans to comeback on television dailies in the beginning of next year. She was last appeared in Zee TV’s Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai and was very much appreciated for her performance of modern bahu.She is currently busy doing a play. “I am currently busy with a play named Happily Married but Phir Bhi Doubt Hota Hai.  I am satisfying my urge to do a comic role through this play. It is running good in Mumbai and people are really liking and appreciating our acts. After my stint in the daily soap Housewife Hai Yeh Sab Janti Hai went off air I got engrossed with this play.”About her return to small screen, Suhasi said, “There are always things in the pipeline but it takes a while for things to materialize. It is the same this time too. But well the viewers will get to see me on television next year now as I am heading for a vacation in December.”On her choice of show and character, she added, “See, television is trying to be experimental, but we all know that what work the most on TV is the saas-bahu shows. So it all depends upon the show that I am offered. If I am happy to experiment then I might take roles accordingly or else I would go with the saas-bahu saga. But I would definitely want to try my hand on negative roles.”Suhasi is popular for portraying lead characters in shows like Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein and Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli.

Who would not like to shake a leg with the dashing star of the Bollywood industry aka John Abraham? The actor who can give you shrills with his slight smile is one of the most desired hunk of the industry, but what sources say is something really unusual. Huma Qureshi, who has not been in the industry for long has refused to do an item song with John Abraham in the upcoming movie Welcome Back. The actress, who was seen in the famous Anurag Kashyap’s movie Gangs of Wasseypur, has recently turned down the offer to shake a leg with Johnny boy since her demands were not being accepted by the filmmakers. It is being speculated that the actress was not happy with the paycheque, but was really keen to work with John. A close source to Huma said, “The makers of the film were very keen on signing her for the song but other commitments came in the way of her chance to dance with John.”When Anees Bazmee was contacted for the same, he put forth both the points, he said, “We wanted to have her in the song but then there were date issues. Also, she asked for a lot of money and that became a problem for us.”Now John will be seen with six girls in the song. We think that the actor has become even luckier with Huma’s refusal.

This news can cause a big worry to the fans of Ramleela star Ranveer Singh, as the actor, who is hospitalized in a suburban Mumbai hospital after being diagnosed with dengue, has shown no signs of improvement, even after being admitted for more than 60 hours.Ranveer is admitted to the Hinduja Surgical Health Care in Khar. Sources claim that the actor is currently put in isolation, and the doctors had even contemplated of shifting him to Intensive Care unit, but decided otherwise. "Ranveer's platelet count is not improving and he is experiencing excruciating pain in his bones and severe bouts of shivering. His parents are keeping vigil but they too are not allowed to meet him," said the sources. Singh, 28, contracted the disease when he was shooting in the coalmines of Durgapur, West Bengal. However, despite being unwell, he ignored it and continued shooting till the shoot’s wrap. And once he returned to Mumbai, he was diagnosed with an advanced stage of dengue. "He didn't pay much attention to it but if he was diagnosed two days earlier his condition may not have worsened the way it has," added the sources. Speaking of his alleged girlfriend Deepika Padukone, it is learnt that she has not paid him any visit so far, as she is out of Mumbai. Sources said, "She is currently in Goa, busy shooting for Homi Adajania's film. But I guess she keeps herself updated about his condition."Get well soon, chap!

Deepika as Leela will be in her most graceful but spicy on-screen appearance, he claims. SLB said, “Leela is like my mother — beautiful, graceful, but teekhi! She's delicate, but she cannot be taken lightly. She isn't a recluse. She lives life to the fullest and on her own terms. She is colour, she is what she is... I wanted Deepika to be that.” It is also informed by director that for the look of Deepika, a Gujarati girl, he wanted to keep it as natural to his vision. Minimalistic make-up by Mehera Kolah and an undone light bouffant ensured that the actress looked ethereal. He himself visited Gujarat for Deepika's outfits, which has been designed by Anju Modi. Deepika added, “Apart from the fact that he is one of the most celebrated directors, Sanjay sir has always been known for the way he presents his heroines. So, other than getting to work with him, I was excited about my look in the film. My father's relatives would have taunted him and said, badchallan hai, family ke muh pe kala daag hai, but I still felt very alone and hurt as anything could have happened to me then but still he did not call me.”She goes on, “Now that I am more mature, there is no resentment, but there is still anger and lot of hurt in me. My brother Vikram has always been attached to me and is my soulmate. After a while I started seeing my father in him and he became my pillar of strength. So much time has gone by and God has given you so much but you never recover from that pain. It's difficult to get over my father's betrayal as a protector that you expect as a young girl. The latest offering of Zee TV, Doli Armaanon Ki, starring with Mohit Malik as Samrat and Neha Marda as Urmi has been started throwing in new surprises. In the past few episodes one could notice that Urmi, like every girl, is eagerly waiting for her wedding day. She has found her dream man in Samrat but it seems the makers have some thrilling plans to bring in her love story.In the coming episode Urmi will get a shock when she gets to know that Samrat is a man who does not believe in the importance of wedding rituals. And to make matters worse, her reaction will inflate Samrat’s ego and he will go on to call-off his marriage with Urmi.As per the sources, “Samrat will be about to be applied haldi, he will get an official call informing him about an urgent meeting fixed at the same time. Samrat being a person who gives utmost importance to his work, will walk off without completing the haldi ritual.”Ishaan (Siddharth Arora) will hide this truth from Urmi when she will ask about the ritual. He will inform her that Samrat did finish the haldi ceremony. “Samrat’s parents will cover up for their son. But Urmi will later on get to know the truth from Samrat himself, as he will spill the beans saying that he walked out without applying haldi as he had a meeting lined up. This will make Urmi angry and she will confront Ishaan and ask him why he had to cover up for his best friend,” added sources.Urmi’s loud response on the situation will put Samrat to rethink on his marriage decision. He always wanted to marry a girl, who is dutiful and silent, but Urmi’s tenacity to speak her mind and scold his best friend Ishaan will not go down well with Samrat, and he will tell his family that he has decided to call-off the wedding. It would be a big shocker not only for Urmi but for her parents as well.
