The Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE) formulates federal postsecondary education policy and administers programs that address critical national needs in support of our mission to increase access to quality postsecondary education.

With support from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) has established a new system-wide initiative to redesign its developmental math and English curriculum using technology- supported, active-learning strategies.

The Basic Skills Initiative (BSI) was a grant funded initiative from the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Ofice. The goal of this project was improving student access. Resources include a basic skills handbook, and literature reviews.
