Nearly 81% of Americans are overweight and 31% of these overweight people are considered to be obese. We've all heard the reasons (stereotypes) for why this is the case: Americans are lazy, don't exercise, and love fast food. It could be that so many Americans are overweight because these stereotypes are true, but is there something else at play as well? Did you know that research has shown that toxins (in other words poisons) are making us fat and keeping us fat.
Exercise more to decrease pain and feel more energetic? Hardly seems possible with RA. But it's true! Inactivity decreases joint motion and flexibility. Inactivity also can lead to weak muscles and deformed joints. Regular exercise helps reverse joint stiffness, builds muscle, and boosts overall fitness. With regular exercise, you can feel stronger with less fatigue. But first, see your doctor before starting an exercise program.
