At a minimum we'll probably see Apple TV start using the same A5 processor used in the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 in the future. An A5 processor would make the device work faster, and would allow Apple TV to play back 1080p video.

We all expected Google and Samsung to unveil the new Nexus Prime during their joint announcement at CTIA this week, but when the two companies announced that this would be postponed, we were left wondering when the device - and the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich release - may be coming.

I was pretty shocked by the move when it happened, which made me start to take a look at my own personal connection to mobile technology. If the idea of turning my phone off to spend time with a friend is crazy talk, then maybe the crazy thing is how connected I am. The whole idea of being that connected is, after all, to be able to easily reach and connect with people (like this friend). What better time to do that when the friend is physically in front of me, trying to have a real-world conversation.

Following its $8.5 billion acquisition back in May, Microsoft has officially welcomed Skype into its family. The world's most popular VoIP service will become a new business division within Microsoft, and will remain focused on its goal of "connecting all people across all devices and accelerating both companies' efforts to transform real-time communications for consumers and enterprise customers."

Jersey Shore's very own Mike "The Situation" foolishly thought he could cut in line to buy the newest apple device and instead was kicked out of the store. Mike's personality on the shore doesn't seem to be much different from his real life as shown by this act he is cocky, and thinks way too much of himself. Guess he wont be getting his IPhone 4S any time soon.

It's now been three days since RIM's BlackBerry services went down, leaving users all over the world stranded without BlackBerry Messenger, email, and internet access. Despite promises on Tuesday that services were restored and working normally, millions of users have continued to report issues with their devices.

Opposing what has been the worry about cellphones in past years. A study that has been 18 years in the making has proved that there is no correlation between cell phone users and risk for brain cancer. There were over 350,000 test subjects and only 356 were diagnosed with brain tumors which is no higher than subjects who were not using mobile devices.

There are two main types of jailbreaks - tethered and untethered. Tethered means you have to connect your device to your computer every time it's powered off in order to maintain your jailbreak. Untethered means you can reboot at will without having to jack in that cable. If you update before one of these becomes available, then you will lose all of your Cydia apps and tweaks until you can re-jailbreak. (And even then, you may have to start from scratch if you don't back it all up. More on that below.)

Some lucky customers in Germany began receiving their iPhone 4S pre-orders yesterday - 3 days before the device is set to launch. However, they're not the only ones getting it early. Verizon customers in the U.S. are, too.

New to the world of phones and transactions alike: the Blackberry Bold 9900 and Curve 9360 are the first SIM-based smartphones to earn the "MasterCard PayPass Certification." This means that MasterCard thinks the phones are advanced and secure enough to handle MasterCard's NFC-based Paypass system. Now that this has been decided, any MasterCard Paypass-issuing bank can give a PayPass account to the SIM card in these phones. As a Vice President of RIM puts it, this is a "significant step forward in the way we use mobile devices for payments." Indeed, VP, indeed. This quite the large leap for Blackberry, and Blackberry users alike, as it will affect the way we do our business and transactions, and therefore out everyday lives. Jealous, Apple & Co.? 

The latest in RIM's collection of Blackberry's have now been deemed secure enough to handle Mastercard's pay pass system which means that when one of these phones SIM cards is encrypted with a pay pass account it will allow the user to make payments from their Mastercard account through their smartphone

Features list and prices on Hudl 2, Medion Lifetab, Nexus 7, Encore Minie and beyond... Unveiled in October 2014 and weighing 410g, the device is heavier than the first Hudl (370g) and costs £129 or £65 with clubcard vouchers.
