Hellow Kizak, That video made me go back to my childhood when I had to pump water from a well for all the needs, even for cooking. We had to go to the river to do our loundry, carrying big loads of dump clothes. The situation the Niger people is living, almost all Latinamerican countries are. So as we could see the world population is growing but the natural resources as water are dicreasing.

This is an appropiate issue related to the women's rights. One of the most terrible problems women face is Domestic Violence and it must end.

Hello Maria, I could see all the activities that can be done out of a short article. Because being an authentic material the students are led to think and talk realistically and develop all those linguistics activities. Ruth

Spanking - 2 views

This is just a wikipedia page for the term "spanking", however it provides some interesting statistics about spanking from all over the world. I'll probably have a discussion with my class and ask them to predict what kind of topics the article will cover. I'll probably give them a range of questions like, who do you think gets spanked more, boys or girls? Then I'll have them skim the article to find the answers as homework.

There are many things that are able to be accomplished throughout the development of the new techniques. For example how to keep in touch with our students and to program different activities in a course. All of this encourages students to never stop practicing what is definitely a process. If they feel the communication doesn´t stop, they feel happy and free to produce more and more each time.

Linking Family Leisure and Family Function: A Literature Review (Human right # 24) - 0 views

Family leisure activities and how it contributes to reinforce family ties are the main topics of this document. It gives you a clearer picture of your student´s environment. It describes how divorce, single parenthood, poverty can affect families. It is useful to know yor student background because it is not a matter to teach them English it is, also, how the students can overcome difficulties. You can use the reading to avoid sensitive points in your classes, and to know which activities children prefer to do with their parents. I always tell my students, today you are going to tell your parents what did you learn in English, many, not all, receive possitive words about it and it shows how you can use English to create an activity children can share with their parents. Human Rights: Freedom of Speech Week October 17-23 - 0 views

  •
The EDSITEment is a great resource for instructors teaching culture, history, social studies etc.. For my human rights topic the website gives several ideas about freedom of speech including various activities (lesson plans) classes of all ages can do during Freedom of Speech Week, October 17-23. Some of the content/language may be too high for EFL/ESL setting. Their collection of lesson plans are worth looking at though for ideas.
