We assign a lot of projects - how many of them are dessert, and how many follow a true project-based learning model.

I'd love to make it a goal to have our students add a project product they can be proud of to their e-portfolios in Canvas every trimester. 

Many of us are assigning projects in our classes, but nearly all of them are missing important elements for making them powerful. 

There are a lot of suggestions I have for Experiential Ed next year - one of which is separating the design process from the project planning process.

A nice outline, description, and template of project management applied to everyday projects. This could be a great scaffold for many of the projects we ask out kids to complete.

You could spend a long time going through all of the resources here, but it is nice to have them all pulled into the same place. Anyone interested in project-based learning should take a few minutes to take a look.

As much as I love the idea of doing 'project based learning' in my class, most of the value is lost if it only exists in one class. This video does a great job of describing what's needed to really make PBL worth the time and effort.

Christian Long spoke at TEDxOverlake last year, and had lunch with a few of us to talk about using design thinking in education. This is a nice description of the value of DT in schools, especially in project-based learning. It also touches on Prototype Camp, which a few of our students attended earlier this year.
