Wow, this is so sad. I don't get how people can do this.

We see too many stories like this. The Castle Doctrine is an interesting allowance to have in Wisconsin. We are one of the last states to adopt this, but it has been in most states for a very long time.

Similar to the Trayvon Martin case, a black boy is shot 3 times by a police officer for no apparent reason.

This is a very biased article from the conservative side of the case.

I thought this article was interesting because it shows how this is not a clear cut case. There are many different stories, and this article looks at most of them.

When we study visual rhetoric this will be a great story to come back to. A great look into how we can be manipulated by imagery.

This is an excellent article with numerous links to other articles that trace the evolution of the Martin/Zimmerman case. It notes too that the Trayvon Martin Memorial has been removed. I find that strange. It has been preserved, but why remove it? This is a great article for up-to-date information and case development.

I found this article interesting because it can go both ways. The defense can be accused of desperately digging for "dirt" on Trayvon or the defense could have proved that Trayvon wasn't well behaved.

I really like this article becasue it puts into perspective how the US perceives gun laws and people's rights and how race becomes a factor in justice. It raises a lot of questions and I find it really interesting. Thanks for this!

Jadyn, This is an excellent article that hits on so many issues having to do with race. Who gets to be "white," how do we define "white," does the color of the individuals involved in an altercation/homocide affect who is guilty or innocent? If you haven't chosen an article yet, I'd take a serious look at this one. I'd like to come back to this one for discussion or use it for the next section. Great job posting a complex article.

This story/video doesn't pertain to the Trayvon Martin case but I found it very interesting because it just goes to show that people of the African American race are followed more closely than those of the White race just like McIntosh described in her article. I feel that we could make some big connections between this case and the Trayvon Martin case along with racism throughout the world.

SO much of what we are seeing in the news feeds today is the information concerning George Zimmerman. I am still conflicted as to what actually happened that night and why. But I feel like the tide has changed/shifted and the voices we first heard that supported Trayvon Martin are getting lost now as so many speak up and defend Zimmerman's right to self defence (which may be valid); however, hearing from his parents reminds us that a young boy was shot that night and he cannot speak for himself as Zimmerman can.
