This was something I found while working on my segment 4 project and I just decided to share it.

BEIJING -- The online version of China's Communist Party newspaper has hailed a report by The Onion naming North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as the "Sexiest Man Alive" - not realizing it is satire. I thought this was really funny and wanted to share!

This also shows a real lack of rhetorical and cultural awareness. The fact that the readers of this can't detect satire is a sure sign that they are not reading this article within a cultural context and don't understand its irony. Similarly Iran's media ran a story about how the average, white, rural American would rather vote for their leader than Barak Obama because Iran's leader took "diplomacy and foreign affairs seriously." This too was taken from a satire done by The Onion.

The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education is dedicated to the conscientious investigation of the status and prospects for African Americans in higher education.

A relevant topic for the holidays that many of us see as a ritual of coming together. Many Native Americans, however, take an entirely different view of this holiday. "A People's History of the United States" has a great chapter that provides a more clear view on this.

Paul Ryan claims that he and Romney lost because of the unexpected "urban" voters ("urban" being a dog whistle for "black"), rather than because of his policies (which exit polls showed were central for many voters)

I like how objective this is. We are able to hear both sides.
