This is an interview that was conducted between Mr. Roy Lichtenstein, and Mr. Michael Kimmelman. This is a good article to have because it gives actual quotes from Roy Lichtenstein. This article talks about how Lichtenstein really shocked the art world with his paintings. It talks about the different Eras that he had painted in. The 70's focusing on reinterpretations of famous paintings, and the 80's and 90's bringing in bright colors and new brush-strokes. The article holds a lot of nice lines from Lichtenstein that talk about how he feels his art is portrayed (I don't think storytelling has anything to do with modern painting or with my paintings at least.) The article will help to put an actual feel for who Roy Lichtenstein was in my paper.

"Now & Then Great Fashion" People 7. October 2009: 103-104. This magazine article is an interview with many famous fashion designers, discussing the trends of the seventies and the trends of today. It discusses fashion worn by some of the first ladies in history, and then mentions today's first lady, Michelle Obama. This article will help me a lot because it has fashion designers opinions on different trends throughout generations.

Hand, John O. "Futurism in America." Art Journl 41.4 (1981): 337-42. JSTOR. Web. 31 Oct. 2010. This article is about the transition of Futurism from the East to America. The development of Futurism was caused by the influence from the Futurist Manifestos and paintings. F.T. Marinetti's Foundation and Manifesto of Futurism sparked the movement and through the use of variety of magazines and newspapers, it spread quickly. The article includes a summarized interview of Andre Tridon analyzing specific ways in which this movement affected the culture of the early 1900's. Tridon gives specific newspaper articles that are a direct result of the Futurism movement. By 1913 Futurism had made its impact and it seemed that it would not disappear very easily.

This article focuses on the connections between Andy Warhol's personal life and his work.  Warhol saw everything that he did as work and a way of promoting his magazine, "Interview."  It discusses Warhol's role in the market world and in "celebrity culture."  This article goes on to expand several of the effects the market world and celebrity lifestyle had on Warhol.

This article describes the craziness that Dali was famous for. It explains the texts that were taken to assess his mental state and his overall diagnosis. This is discovered through his art, autobiography, and interviews with those who were close to him throughout his life.

This article might be useful for those seeking to do a study of the evolution of punk. From the OhioLINK abstract: This article examines how older fans of punk rock articulate their continuing attachment to the music and its associated visual style.While sociological research on popular music audiences is well established, little attention has been paid to the articulation and management of fan practices of individuals beyond the age of 30. Based on ethnographic interviews conducted with older punk fans in East Kent, England, the article begins to redress this oversight in studies of popular music audiences.This involves an assessment of both the way in which articulations of punk style transgress with age from the visual to the biographical and how older punks develop particular discursive practices as a means of legitimating their place within a scene dominated by younger punk fans.
