Thank you, Diana! This is very interesting! It is funny that part of their advice to parents is "Surf the web together with your child - there's a lot your child can teach you." I was expecting it to say something about parents teaching kids to proper ways to surf. LOL

Call me a science geek but I think this is just too cool. With the advent of newer, more advanced technologies, Astronomers are running into an unusual problem--too much data to go through themselves.Their solutions has been to put it up online and let people (amateur, everyday people) help them out. I think it connects well to Shirky and Remix. Sure puts a whole new spin on "social science".
