1. My favorite work that I was here for this year was Gimpel the fool. I found it to be a captivating and somewhat funny story with good insight on human nature.
2. The most meaningful assignment for me was the 50 word short essays we wrote because I chose to write about somethings that i really care about and it made me think a lot about my past year and some of the opportunities I have missed.
3. From the Where I am From poem a learned how to read and write poetry correctly. I learned how to put emphasis in certain areas and how to make poetry flow.
4. From the 5 paragraphs essays I learned how to put my thoughts into better form. I often have really good ideas but word them poorly and I think I am grasping how to clearly state my ideas and insight.
5. This year in English I think I became a problem solver by leading by example in class. When I first entered the class I joked around a lot with my fellow jabronis but towards the end I think I became a leader in class doing all my assignments thoroughly.
6. What I still need to work on is putting myself out there in my writing. Often times I hold back a little bit because I do not want to reveal something about myself even if it could really benefit my writing.
Final Exam (2 of 4) ZeFrank and Emotional Intelliegence 2.0 - 74 views

ZeFranks the teenage brain talked about how teenagers have under developed brains which effects decision making. This directly relates to EQ because many times teenagers treat people poorly because they don't know better. This makes it even more important to start teaching EQ at a young age because it needs to be ingrained into peoples minds in order for them to have a good understanding as a teen. This being said, because teenagers have different brains than adults teenagers tend to understand each other better which is a form of EQ on its own just in terms of emotional intelligence.
Final Exam (3 of 4) New Connections - 84 views

This year since I have joined English 11 the theme or emphasis has been on relationships between people and the idea that everybody needs somebody. This idea is clearly portrayed in "Mice and Men' by the character Crooks. Crooks is lonely and is isolated and is grateful for just any communication. This theme is also prevalent in metamorphosis. When Gregor turns into a cockroach he is miserable but the only thing that gives him hope is the love and attention he receives from his sister. This all relates to the Jelly Bean video. You only have so much time in life so make sure you keep the truly important people around while you can.

The reason Akaky's ghost comes back to haunt the people because he is trying to show that they are all placing emphasis on the wrong things and that they need to pay attention to who a person really is.
