Discuss the "big ideas" and themes from the literature we have read this year-
From what i was here for i learned how cruel but fair the world is. Also the odds are not always in your favor and you have to take the hand dealt to you and deal with it the best you.
Compare them to the videos, "Blind Melon-No Rain", "Twilight Zone-Five Characters in Search of an Exit" and " Walk off the Earth-Little Boxes", "The Teen Brain", "The Time You Have In Jellybeans)
i only saw the jellybean video and had seen it before and realized by just shifting a few things you in your day the time will add up. Also i learned how much of our time here is just wasted.
Make a new connection. everything is interconnected ;)
What have you learned about yourself in relation to the universe? What are the most important questions? Will you be able to avoid the traps?
the most important question i have learned is, "What do you stand for", and "how will you avoid the negative influences in the world".

What was your favorite work that we read this year?
Of mice and men, even though i have read it five or more times it is a great story and a favorite of mine
What was the most meaningful assignement? Why
The Short Stories, as i realized again i am actually pretty good at writing when i get around to actually doing it.
What did you learn from Poetry Out Loud and "Where I Am From"?
I wasn't here for it, but it sounded like fun ;)
What did you learn about the 5 Paragraph Essay?
Not much just your style, and how you like everything done very specifically.
In what way did you become a "writer, speaker or problem solver"?
Learned how to stand and deliver and get you my work or if i didn't or couldn't i had to problem solve to figure it out.
What do you need to still work on?
My drive, and getting it quicker. As well as paying attention in class and staying attentive.
Final Exam: (1 of 4) The Overcoat by Gogol - 97 views
-
Gogol portrays the unfairness of the Russian Society through his story "The Overcoat." it portrays a great definition of the youth culture now adays. Akaky followed the cool people and tried getting an overcoat to fit in but he lost it and then believed he was just another bum in the street. The overcoat portrays the theme of how corrupted our society can be about materialism with no fulfillment. People always want more more and more and its never enough.

Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves, adults who had exuberant experiences in their early adulthood life wrote a book, "Emotional Intelligence 2.0", attempting in teaching people to become mature adults in modern society. In the book, social management and social awareness are focusing on how you socialize and your influences on the other people around you. Accordingly, EQ development is appropriate for the teenagers such as those in our class. ;)
