This article is a very important one for us as tech people. This article discusses 2 of the biggest OS releases here this year. One being on the windows/pc side of things and the other being with the apple/mac side of things. This article in my opinion does a very good job of explaining both of them while staying unbiased. If anything the writer of this article is biased towards both of them and what they have accomplished which has made for a very interesting article.

Thursday is a big day for Windows users. Microsoft is finally making Windows 7 publicly available, and i think it is a very much needed step for geeks. It is the upgrade XP users has been waiting for. The reason i think that this concerns us as tech geeks is that the majority of people will be running this operating system in the next few years. All laptops will be equipped with it and so will most of the desk tops. This article includes things that you might want to know about the new operating system.

This article lists the steps to writing a tech article. It is a brief overview but there are more in depth steps to writing the article on the page. It is very specific on analyzing the audience and what they need to hear. The article should be shaped around this. After all, if nobody is going to be interested enough to read the article, what is the point of writing it?

Robots is an interesting topic and as young people in general we need to be concerned and aware of what is going on. As tech guys we need to really be able to know what is going on and be able to possibly program one of these things or at the very least be able to use it once it has come out. This site has all the latest info about robots. It has videos and articles all combined into one. This website is like a Wired or a Slashdot page except it is designed solely for the robotic community.

From sexy smartphones to lightning-fast PCs to GPS, it's hard to imagine life without technology. But have all the new gadgets and tools only made our lives more complicated?

I picked slashdot.org because...well...slashdot is for NERDS! GEEKS!!! Someone who might be in the Computer Information Technology learning community! LIKE ME! On a more serious note though, I picked slashdot because it involves people like the CIT learning community. We are nerds/geeks we know it, and love it. Slashdot is composed of authors that are IT gurus and love to talk about as what there title says, 'news that matters' which is straight and to the point.\n\nLike any good nerd we like to put in our two cents. Slashdot added a message board to reply to any post the authors make. The articles composed by Slashdot will always involve technology in someway. Whether it's a post on the internet's birthday or a post about how red hat enterprise linux 5.4 has been released. Slashdot has posts to the point for people like "us". Its not filled with clutter or garbage about stupid news about Jon and Kate + 43000, its news that MATTERS. Simple as that.\n

I chose this article because I think it can connect to literally almost everyone in the computer world and beyond. This article talks about how Facebook almost has as many users as the entire US population. According to their statistics, they gain 800,000 new accounts per day which is pretty insane. It seems like this is the first truly successful social networking site because it finally gained a profit and it hoping to keep that trend going through 2010. Facebook is here to stay for a while I think, and that's just fine with me.

Facebook has changed its privacy policy to include a twitter like profit scheme. Facebook is now making the adds and tests you take eligable to be sent back to the developer for research purposes to see what you are interested. This then helps its advertising on the side bar of the website. I chose this article because I think its good to get the word out that whatever you do on Facebook is being sent back to the developer. That then allows them to view your profile to see what you are interested in. To me this seems a little over-kill ion the fact that they shouldn't be able to see your entire profile. But with facebook being free they can do anything.

So have any of you ever considered building a new computer and not know what processor to get, and the best processor for the least amount of money? I found this article which helps clarify things immensely! This can relate to CIT because at some point, if we stay in this career plan, we will all need to know something about processors and their performance. It also proves a great source if you are just wanting to work on a project at home. It can definitely help you find the best deal for your dollar.

The first article is about Hulu's current situation in which it is inevitably heading towards payment requirements for its service. The second article is about Hulu's past, involving the free television that everyone has come to know any love. Personally, I wonder how Hulu can hope to exist with such a drastic change in its purpose. Before, its popularity was created by its free service and convenience. Will it really still have a niche when it introduces fees, even if they are competitive? Well, I guess the most that the average man can do is light a pyre in remembrance of a fond friend and go back to illegally downloading the things that Hulu allowed you to stream legally.

You could only guess it would be better with how much hype it received. Modern Warfare has blown peoples minds. Many people thought Modern Warfare 1 could not be topped but just has. Modern Warfare 2 covers it all when it comes to customization. There are double, if not triple the amount of guns and perks available in single and multiplayer, as well as many more attachments including thermal scopes, a heartbeat sensor, and a shotgun attachment for your assault rifle. I don't think there is anything you can say bad about this game because as usual, Infinity Ward covered all the bases. if this game doesn't get Game of the Year I will be genuinely surprised.
