This article discusses digital humanities through the works of Todd Carter and his Tagasauris data-curation platform. This program allows people to tag their pictures and other forms of media by the use of crowdsourcing and digital intelligence. He divides Tagasauris into three categories: Findability, Linkability, and Discoverability. With his creation, people such as Valerie Matteau have been able to digitize an art collection, which reveals eighty years of american history such as Correta Scott King's funeral.

Kevin Colton explains how the use of simulation can increase the fundamental learning of history. By using charts, maps, diagrams, and photos, students can get a different and more effective learning experience. He also goes on to explain the basics of how he created the simulation and gives images to give you an idea of what the maps might look like and a demo simulation video.

This article discusses The University of Canterbury (UC) and its brand new QuakeStudies digital archive to document the Canterbury earthquakes by collecting reports, documents, stories, photos and film. According to the website, the launch is "the culmination of a year's work by a project team from the UC College of Arts Digital Humanities department. The breadth of the content sought for the QuakeStudies archive is unprecedented, and will become a significant record of these major historical events."

This article discusses and provides a few tips for preserving today's digital records for generations to come. This seemingly easy task has provided some difficulties to the September 11 Digital Archive Project. The main goal of this joint project is to collect and preserve everything from photos to voicemails that relate to the events of September 11. Dan Cohen provides four main points that may be able to solve some of this issues in this preservation along with tips on how to better this process.

Creative Commons is a website, or tool, that you can use to create your our copyright restrictions. Instead of have a traditional blanket copyright, creative commons allows publishers/creators personalize the copyright and protection of their material. For example, a person who uses Creative Commons to set up restrictions for their photographs can allow other the repost and cite his photos. However, it restricts companies from using it in ads (like on facebook).
