This is surprising to see in the way that it has been kept underground and has had successful results. Although it is not surprising that many terminally ill patients would opt for this.

This article is a tough one. I agree with everything everyone is saying, but initially it is about the person who is suffering. If one of my family members were suffering with an illness that unfortunately ended with an early death and they were in horrible pain, I would rather tem be at peace and end their suffering if it is what they wanted.

CA Bill AB2109 was working its way throught the Senate earlier this year. This bill protects parents from vaccinating their children with the stipulation that they must speak with a licensed health professional before they can get an exemption. The article points out that those who dont vaccinate are then relying on community immunity for their children to not be exposed to vaccine preventable dieseases.

The "economic partnership" between the two nations are so heavily intertwined, that legislations across seas will impact U.S. companies. The EU has implemented legislations protecting the rights of online customers. Meanwhile, in the U.S., companies have been reluctant to work with the government in providing U.S. online customers the same protection, because the majority of their profits stem from online advertising. These advertisements work so well because companies have been able to track consumer activities and in turn cater to them according to their habits. Implement government regulations that prevent big companies from doing that and their profits will plummet.

The problem with legislature like this is the government will have permission to detain anyone without actual proof. Your cousin Steve could be locked up and there's nothing you can do about it. Not everyone accused of a crime is guilty, and under the NDAA, it won't matter. Guilty or innocent, you can be detained. Not only is this a violation of your Constitutional rights, it's one step close to Fascism.

The new laws in Az state that hunters can hunt as long as they are a quarter mile away from a structure. Also the new law states that you do not need the required training or permit to conceal a gun. The recent bill says that a person with a mental illness cannot conceal a weapon at all. But this new bill says that with a evidentiary hearing and records that the person is stable now and not mentally ill can put a weapon back in this persons hand....

This article talks about whether or not terminally ill, suffering people should have the right to choose to end their own life in a painless manner, like we do with animals, or even how we use it with the death penalty in some states. It talks about it as a Global issue. It gives you the history on the issue. It gives you the whole ethical debate on the issue.

My conception of ethically permissible behavior is based on the view that any decision is ethically permitted if it is voluntary and does not cause gratuitous harm to others. This is congruent with the early ethical stricture in medicine, Primum non nocere, "First, do no harm." However, our perception of harm must be qualified. A living being can be harmed without being harmed in a moral sense. I harm a mosquito when I swat it, but I do not harm it in a moral sense unless I assign a moral absolute value to the mosquito's well-being. To be harmed in a moral sense is to be wronged. Thus, my concern is with behavior that does or does not wrong another.

This article states that with recent reports from 2013 the highest death rates due to guns had the most laced gun control laws. On correlation states with the harshest gun control laws had the lowest gun death rate.  This article also includes other sources which can help to make a point.

Striking seems to be the more painful as a sheet of metal with a design is laid onto the skin and heated with a torch. Cautery is much more precise as a surgical tool is used and the nerve dies quite quickly.

New penalties that insurance companies can charge for smokers under the new Affordable Care Act are contested. Smokers will have to deal with new penalties when people with seemingly worst conditions are left alone. Maybe the Affordable Care Act won't be so affordable.

The majority of people, when thinking of health care, consider things such as physical illnesses and things of that sort. Many do not think of mental health, which is an extremely pertinent part of an individual's quality of life. The problems and issues with obtaining services for mental health and maintaining them, sadly, are quite a few. This makes being able to find and receive the help and treatment needed for individuals' with mental health issues difficult and sometimes nearly impossible.

It is broke. I think we should look at the way Israel handles their airport security.

However, I relate to this a great deal since this past May & June I went to Afghanistan - and I was traveling with an Afghan citizen. I understand why they would be more cautious. Our coming back flight stopped in Dubai and we expected to have problems coming into the USA, but we also faced issues in Amsterdam. We were questioned a little longer than the other people - almost missed the flight because of it, twice - in Amsterdam & in the USA to coming to Phoenix. However, it did not bother us - we knew we would face issues. I don't even know how many times I was x-rayed - or how much time we spent talking to officials a little longer than everyone else and it happened everywhere we stopped, not only in the USA! I agree with these terms of not being so strict when leaving the USA, but coming back I could understand why the security was a little tighter.
