"Features hundreds of credible pros and cons including scientific marijuana research and expert opinions on medical cannabis" I couldn't remember whether or not this topic was brought up in the forum, or on the "No" list. But either way, I thought I would post it here. This website (procon.org) is a great source for looking into both sides of whatever argument is being considered.

Some states are saying marijuana is very beneficial for many health problems. However, many consider it to have no medical use. Others argue it is too dangerous to use.

This is crazy its about how the copscan arrest you on the spot if you can't prove your citizenship status. Further more it states that if you buy a gun made in Arizona you don't have to register it.
  •
The weapon of choose becomes their Constitution right to bear arms. Perhaps that prospect will make police a little more concerned about who they round up on the streets. We doubt it. Weapon's instructors in Arizona feel cheated by the state's law makers as they are killing their business.
  •
It is wrong to be stopped by patrol just because you don't seem to look like you're from the US. As for the weapons not having to be licensed also defeats the purpose. I think anyone who owns a concealed weapon should be trained on how to use it, and with that you have to own a license.
  •
I defiantly disagree with both of these laws. I don't think it is right that a cop can pull someone over just to make sure they are legal. I also think in order to be allowed to handle a gun people should go through safety classes.
  •
I think there should be a little more added to both these laws. If you want to search someone regardless of race, gender, religion or whatever you should need probable cause. Also I think if you are going to handle any type of weapon you should have some background with weapons handling; maybe off free weapons safety classes at public ranges?

Automobile Searches legal definition of Automobile Searches - 2 views

  •
Balancing the Fourth Amendment rights and the need for law enforcement to obtain useful evidence is very difficult. in many cases, law enforcement officials have not been able to secure the evidence needed to proceed with the conviction process of suspects.
  •
I understand an automobile is private property but I don't see the problem with searches. If someone is worried about their vehicle being searched than there is probably something in there that shouldn't be and it needs to be searched!
  •
I agree searches should be allowed in investigations. Our rights are ment to protect us, but many want to use it for selfish reasons.

Gun Control and Gun Rights | The Latest News on Gun Control - US News - 0 views

  •
This web article talks about issues regarding the second amendment of the US constitution, the right to bear arms. The author talks about how the gun debate has become a hot button topic of argument in the political elections. This makes sense with the growing rate of gun related murders in the past few years. It also references a recent lift on gun bans in Chicago, IL.
  •
Gun control and gun rights has always been a very popular topic, specifically when it comes to elections. Recently there have been two court cases to reach the highest court in the US, one of which was considered to be a landmark case. However, neither case established what laws could be put in place without infringing upon our second amendment rights.

"Savior Siblings" Start Us Down Harrowing Ethical Path - 0 views

  •
Parents used an embryo selection process to have a healthy baby that would potentially be a donor match to cure its siblings of a genetic disease. In most cases like this, the children that were created as a "savior sibling" become part of the family, but what happens to those that serve their purpose and aren't needed after that? Embryos that don't meet the donor criteria are discarded. So what happens to the children that donate and cure their siblings, can they be discarded as well (put up for adoption)?

This article is just sad when it comes to denying a young boy his therapy for a serious disease. To place a lien on a families home when they use this structure for their sons therapy, is just morally wrong.

Medical Marijuana has been studied to fight cancer cells and make those in too much pain to be comfortable. Why shouldn't this be legal? Plus, kids on the street on going to use it anyway, why not be able to control it? It would be easier to moderate that way.
  •
This article talks about medical marijuana an how it helps with cancer patients. It talks about how kids on the street are able to get it no matter if it is legal or not so why not make it legal.
  •
In this article, the author explain how if legalizing marijuana or cannabis, you benefit those with medical needs. Not only that, but it will allow the government to better controls it from the youth. Also proposes that it is better than other things the youth tries out, like alcohol, and cocaine.

Timeline of Marriage - 0 views

  •
Marriage, as we know it today, was not always about finding true love. Instead, it was used for socioeconomic power and to build family rapport. It's hard to imagine that prior to 1967, it was illegal for a man and a woman of different races to get married.

Law Will Allow Employers to Fire Women for Using Whore Pills - 1 views

  •
A proposed new law in Arizona would give employers the power to request that women being prescribed birth control pills provide proof that they're using it for non-sexual reasons. And because Arizona's an at-will employment state, that means that bosses critical of their female employees' sex lives could fire them as a result. I like that this article gets down to the nit and grit of what an outlandish claim everyone is making against birth control. This article is explaining how invasive this policy is to allow employers to decide on whether to provide insurance for birth control.
  •
This proposed bill actually says that an employer can ask to see a doctors note saying that the woman is perscribed birth control, but has to be for other reasons than not wanting to get pregnant.
