April 22, 2011: 4:24 PM ET NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Hey, rich folks! The American people are putting you on notice. They want you to pay higher taxes. Two new polls suggest there is broad support for raising taxes on households making more than $250,000 a year, and all in the name of deficit reduction.

Sorry, I didn't realize the comment was automatically added...I'm a little slow. This article discusses the percentage of Americans that agree the rich should be given the tax hike. It covers how lower income Americans would like the rich to cover the deficit.

(AP) WASHINGTON - As the income gap between rich and poor widens, a majority of Americans say the growing divide is bad for the country and believe that wealthy people are paying too little in taxes, according to a new survey.

I liked this article because it shows how if everyone payed the same tax rate increase it would add up to a much larger amount then if we just put the higher tax on the 2 percent of the higher income indivuals. It also shows how much the "rich" pay into taxes and how little much of the mid class pay at all. It was very informational.

This talks about reasons the rich should pay higher taxes. It talks about how technically the poor pay more taxes percentage wise.

This is a good article on why America should have a military draft. It talks about how if we had a military draft you wouldn't just see poor people joining to fight wars as a means of income. Everyone would have to fight, rich, or poor. It also reduce the amount of wars if all families rich and poor had the chance of loosing their children. Then we might rethink these wars. It gives a number of other good reasons our country should have a draft too.

A day after demanding Washington lawmakers extend middle-class tax cuts while raising taxes on the wealthy, President Obama took his case directly to voters Tuesday, traveling to Iowa to argue that the rich should pay higher taxes in order to cut the deficit and fund his spending priorities.

This article says that 98 percent of Americans want the tax hike, where as the 2 percent it will effect does not. This 98 percent number is outrageous, especially if they are adding me into the mix. It also brings up that the small businesses that we are trying to support are the most effected by the tax hike.

this is a very interesting article talking about what the effects of the so called "rich" tax cuts means to every tax bracket.

This is a post about why there is no real advantage of taxing the wealthy more.
