Depending on how people interpret laws, they might believe that they might have lost them but some other people are still satisfied by the fact that they still have some rights. I really like how she expressed her opinion and it really got me thinking onto how our rights might change in the future.

Should Arizona be drug testing Arizona welfare recipients? - 1 views

  •
Explains why it is necessary to drug test welfare recipients. Some say it is not fair to target this group of people and other feel that tax payers pay for these benefits and it is not fair to them.
  •
This article discusses whether or not welfare recipients should be drug tested. Both opposing opinions are mentioned in the article. Personally, I believe that it should be required and that the opposing opinion in the article did not give a very good argument.

Felons and the Right to Vote - New York Times - 0 views

  •
About 4.7 million Americans, more than 2 percent of the adult population, are barred from voting because of a felony conviction. Also talks about how felons can apply for the right to become apart of society again and have the right to vote.
  •
About 2 percent of the adult population can not vote. Why is this? It is because they are felons. The right to vote should not be taken away from you if you have paid your debt to society. The rules vary from state to state. Is this law right? Shouldn't we all be able to voice our opinion?

Revealed: US spy operation that manipulates social media | Technology | The Guardian - 0 views

  •
The US military is developing software that will let it secretly manipulate social media sites by using fake online personas to influence internet conversations and spread pro-American propaganda. A Californian corporation has been awarded a contract with United States Central Command (Centcom), which oversees US armed operations in the Middle East and Central Asia, to develop what is described as an "online persona management service" that will allow one US serviceman or woman to control up to 10 separate identities based all over the world. The project has been likened by web experts to China's attempts to control and restrict free speech on the internet. Critics are likely to complain that it will allow the US military to create a false consensus in online conversations, crowd out unwelcome opinions and smother commentaries or reports that do not correspond with its own objectives

Why the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is Important to You - 0 views

  •
Site is more of a question and answer type of format. Gives the opinions of the people but a lot analyzes some of the more crucial points of the Second Amendment.
  •
The right to bear arms should be important, but times have changed and people are taking more and more situations into their own hands with weapons. It should be important to us, but we have police officers and trained professionals who are able to protect us.
  •
Yes, the right to bear arms is important, but they are harming many people.

Reusable bags good for personal freedom - 0 views

  •
I try very hard to recycle as much as possible. This article reminded me to use my reusable water bottles instead of buying case after case of bottled water and also inspired me to buy the reusable grocery bags that I see so many people using. It makes me sick to read that there is a plastic garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean that is twice the surface area of the U.S. and hundreds of feet deep. We need to take care of the earth.
  •
In certain parts of Northern California, you have to bring your own bags for your groceries. Or they will charge you an extra .10 cents per plastic bag they give you.

7 Reasons Why Planned Parenthood Should Not Get Government Money | myHeritage - 0 views

  •
With planned parenthood comes controversy, and opinions range from pro-abortion and anti-planned parenthood, to being against both. But Sarah Torre gives seven good reasons planned parenthood should not be given government funding. According to Torre, Planned parenthood pushes abortions, instead of education about precautionary measures. They oppose laws that protect women and children, and they only care about their profit, and they don't even provide the best care.

Don't defund Planned Parenthood (Opinion) - 1 views

  •
Since the choice to abort is one of the biggest reasons why people want to defund planned parenthood it is being looked at as more of a moral decision. The way democrats and republicans feel on this topic is completely different therefore has been making it harder to make the decision on it. Defunding planned parenthood for this reason would basically be taking away a women's right to choose.
  •
I agree with your statement. It should ultimately be a women's choice and not let politicians decide a woman's decision. Everyone has a right to decide what is best for them without controversies and looking down at.
