NCTM serves math teachers, math educators, and administrators by providing math resources and professional development opportunities. Working for more and better math for all students.

This website provides a multitude of resources for math teachers of various grade levels. The site offers printable worksheets, daily lesson plans, math warm ups, classroom management techniques for math, and so much more. The only downside to this website is the yearly fee that is required of $49.95. While this may be frustrating, you still have the ability to click around and see thumbnail versions of some of the offerings on the site. It may be just the thing to spark an idea and encourage new ways to learn math! While it may be out of the question for some of us to pay such a fee right now, you never know if your school would have access to such a website in the future!

Comprehensive mathematics resource for questions on content, links to educational resources, etc... If you click on Math Help on the top tab, and then "Ask Dr. Math," you can search previously asked questions regarding mathematics and can get explanations for a wide range of mathematical procedures, concepts, and applications.

This site provides free online games. There are a variety of topics to choose from, but the math games would be most relevant for ED 304. You can pick from games such as Math Tunnel Blaster, Math Pinball, and Math Fact Practice. The site is neat because it incorporates fun and learning for all ages!

Has reviews and lesson plans for some children's books applicable to math topics.

This site contains a variety of links and resources for children to access to further their knowledge on a particular math skill. I came across this site when looking for picture graph resources for my lesson plans and was impressed by the links provided on this page. The most impressive link is 'Picture Graphs' which would bring students to a web quest type picture graph lesson that has them learning about picture graphs by creating some themselves and participating in the lesson. If you don't understand quite what I mean, check it out! Teachers could use this for students who need a little practice or even as a review game when visiting the computer lab. The links included are great resources for math teachers.

Scholastic.com offers lesson plan ideas for all subjects areas and grade levels K-12. I found 516 math lesson plans that cover standards such as probability, addition and subtraction, geometry, etc. The math lesson plans featured are thorough and even include objectives and links to worksheets to be used along with them. I found one interesting lesson plan where students had to estimate and practice deciding how much water could be put into a glass jar. Activities such as these allows students to be active in their math education! This is a great site for teachers to find lesson plans!

IXL math is a website with unlimited math questions in more than 1,000 topics, for students to improve their skills and confidence and always have new challenges to meet. I like that the website has PK-6 organized so that you can search that grade level and then find the list of all of the skills students learn in that particular grade. State standards for each state are also given. All of IXL's dynamic math practice skills are aligned to state standards, making it easy to find the right skills to practice. IXL assesses students' performance on each standard instantly, so you'll have all the information you need to prepare them for standardized testing. You can click on your state to view your state's standards and start practicing.

Grat games for students. Includes Tessalations, fractions, flash cards, pre-algebra lessons, addition, subtraction, multiplication, long division, and a section for kds ages 3-5. Lessons tab on top as well!

This is an awesome website that takes different math topics, vocabulary, etc., and makes mnemonics to help students remember what the topic or vocabulary words is. The website also contains really great lesson ideas and professional development articles to better stay in the know.

Teachers Network is a major, non-profit education organization offering online multimedia professional development and teacher education packages in order to improve student achievement. The particular page provides teachers with inexpensive field trips which help students see the real world application of the math concept they have learned.

This is a great site for math games. A huge variety and a search program that is quick and easy. I found my percents games that were not on other sites from here.

This website is full of really useful tips, advice, and articles about all aspects of teaching and learning math. I found this useful when I was working on creating worksheets and activities because the website suggests ways to make learning fun and educational.

This website has a variety of math activities for students to practice their skills. It also offers a teachers great ideas to use within their lessons as well as games to help students realize that math can be fun and active.

This website contains links to many different aspects of mathematics. This includes links to women in mathematics, the history of mathematics, formulas, and more. One interesting link, Math in Daily Life, is interesting because it gives some real-life scenarios of how math can be used in the world around us. This information is a great resource for teachers, and many of it can also be explored by students. Students are especially sure to love the games and puzzles section of this website, which introduces a number of games to be played to help students master difficult math concepts.

Family Math is designed not only to help kids become more comfortable with mathematics, but to help parents overcome their own math-phobias and learn how to help their children. There are FAQs about the program, resources, etc. There's also another tab for "doing math together."

This website offers many resources for students and teachers as well as provide information about various math concepts. It is a well organized website and allows information to be easily accessed.

This site provides free elementary and preschool math activities. There are online math games, lessons, and printables as well. It is educational, interactive, and seems like a great resource.
