This is a website for teachers. It provides teachers with worksheets already made to print. It does not mean that you have to use the worksheet exactly the way it is, however you can adapt it to how you want the worksheet to look. It would be a great start for finding an idea.

Math Playground - 0 views

Math Playground is another interactive computer activity site. This is a great site for students to go onto and use a protractor on the computer or even play a game with real life examples. I thought that this would be a great website to use for our students if they have free time or even as a center for students in the classroom.

Women in Mathematics - Early Female Mathematicians - 0 views

  •
This URL is from About.com, so it does not have lesson plans or activities. However, my LEA e-mail today mentioned the need for young girls to be aware of female professions in the STEM program, particularly in Math. So, I thought why not include this website. Students can do a little research of their own on Hypatia of Alexandria, Mary Fairfax Somerville, and Alicia Stott to name a few. Under each of the ten females is a little background information. Underneath that is a link that takes you to more in-depth information and even other websites!!

AOL Kids- Math Homework Help (Graphs) - 0 views

  •
This site contains a variety of links and resources for children to access to further their knowledge on a particular math skill. I came across this site when looking for picture graph resources for my lesson plans and was impressed by the links provided on this page. The most impressive link is 'Picture Graphs' which would bring students to a web quest type picture graph lesson that has them learning about picture graphs by creating some themselves and participating in the lesson. If you don't understand quite what I mean, check it out! Teachers could use this for students who need a little practice or even as a review game when visiting the computer lab. The links included are great resources for math teachers.

Teacher Vision- Math Teacher Resources - 0 views

  •
This website provides a multitude of resources for math teachers of various grade levels. The site offers printable worksheets, daily lesson plans, math warm ups, classroom management techniques for math, and so much more. The only downside to this website is the yearly fee that is required of $49.95. While this may be frustrating, you still have the ability to click around and see thumbnail versions of some of the offerings on the site. It may be just the thing to spark an idea and encourage new ways to learn math! While it may be out of the question for some of us to pay such a fee right now, you never know if your school would have access to such a website in the future!

Scholastic- Math Teaching Resources - 1 views

Scholastic.com offers lesson plan ideas for all subjects areas and grade levels K-12. I found 516 math lesson plans that cover standards such as probability, addition and subtraction, geometry, etc. The math lesson plans featured are thorough and even include objectives and links to worksheets to be used along with them. I found one interesting lesson plan where students had to estimate and practice deciding how much water could be put into a glass jar. Activities such as these allows students to be active in their math education! This is a great site for teachers to find lesson plans!

MoneyInstructor.com - 0 views

From my cooperating teacher for pre-student teaching, I have become aware of the importance for late elementary students and early middle school students to know about money. This website helps students learn about how to plan/create a budget, what tipping is and what is an appropriate amount, how to buy items with coupons, why and how one uses discounts and percentages, and the list goes on and on. This website is just full of information that is even a great resource for pre-teachers to explore and review!
