Starfall.com opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to teach children to read with phonics. Our systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL).

This is a great site for children ages 2-8. It teaches pre-reading as well as reading skills up to 2nd grade. Includes games, animated stories, songs, and writing activities. I use it daily!

This is a website that is great for providing your students with extra support on problematic areas in the classroom. I think this website is best for worksheets. They offer ebooks and they are organized by topic. Membership for this site is free; however, their suggested sites (i.e. vocabularyatoz and writing atoz) are not free. Overall, this site is great for content specific extra support in the classroom, in all core subject areas.

Awesomelibrary.org is an excellent website for educators. This website has links for teachers that are organized by subject. The topics vary from subject to subject (i.e. U.S. government or writing). What I liked most about this website is the mini-lessons that are provided for each subject. This is a great tool for reteaching activities in the classroom.

The Awesome Library organizes 33,000 carefully reviewed K-12 education resources for teachers. It contains a directory, an index, and a search engine. This site has valuable resources for teachers, parents, and students. There are activities, lesson plans, games, and additional help for teachers and parents to help their students.
